Kalalau Trail is a hiking trail Hanalei located in United States.
End of Highway 56 Hanalei , HI 96714 United States
Without a doubt the most beautiful hiking trail in the world. The views of the Na Pali Coast along the trail are astounding. Make sure you don't miss Hanakapi'ai Falls . Don't miss this hike !
The first 2 miles along the coast to the Hanakāpī‘ai Beach has some good scenic views and is a must if you never seen the Na Pali coast .
Start your journey early. Most people stop at the Beach , but if your in good shape hike the extra two miles to the Waterfall . DO NOT do this trail without sneakers or hiking boots .
Apply bug repellent !! Bring sunblock & water. A walking stick saved me several times from slipping. If hiking to the falls , pay attention to the pink ribbons tied on random trees . Distance: 4.6mi
If you do only one hike on the island , make it this one, and go all the way to the waterfall .
Just incredible. These 11 miles are the best ones I've ever hiked . Cannot wait to come back and spend more time at the end of the world!
Dedicate some time doing this trail when you're in Kaua'i. The first 2 miles is fairly easy, but if you are feeling a tad courageous, make it to the waterfall at mile #4!
Worth the trek! This is a pretty intense trail , but you're reward with intensely stunning views . Effort = payoff, for sure!
One of the most beautiful sopts I have ever been to. Sueestion: get an early start and bring lots of water ! It can get hot!
Do it with Northshore charters ( departing from Anini beach ) : half a day of adventure in zodiac ( caves , snorkeling , and beautiful Nã Pali coast ).
Beautiful views and lots of mud after rain. If you're thinking it gets better, it doesn't. You will probably fall . But it's okay - go swimming at the beach near the trail head after.
Go the distance.. Get to hanakapai'i falls - if u can. It's worth the trek. Bring water and some lunch , and eat at the base of the waterfall ....
Somebody dead today.... So peachfull and great place but you must be so carrefull on the way. If you dont feel good you dont do.... Best hiking place in Hawai but not easy
Make it a full day hike and take the Kalalau to Hanakapi'ai Valley trail for an amazing waterfall swim . Check out our link for full trail details. Be sure to bring hiking poles! Read more
This place is magical. When I went in Aug the trail was dry and it only rained a bit on the way out. I really lucked out. It’s long but doable in one shot if you’re in somewhat in shape and hike .
Wear sunscreen and bring lots of water for the sun that beaming down on you. Hiking shoes is a must since some parts of the trail get flooded from the stream/rain.
Beautiful views . Hiking is not for beginners. Pack a lot of water and sunscreen .
Go there early (6-7am early) to have the trail to yourself during sunrise
I love the water fall at the end, but beware of the strong currents at the beach there.
Make sure to go early (8am or before) otherwise it gets really hot when the sun comes out.
You can do just the first half mile or so up to look out over the beach . Don't forget the insect repellent !
Beautiful trail right on the ocean with great views . Can be hot.
Nice views and hiking but come prepared for mud and rain!
Bamboo forest when going up to the waterfall
Bring plenty of water.
Precious trail around the Na'pali coast
The most amazing hike of my life!
The views are amazing.
On the sides of this spectacular stretch of green the etched mountains rise out of the sea, with waterfalls cascading into the valley floor. Read more
Not for the physically unfit. Joint issue suffers, mainly knee and ankle, should not plan on proceeding.
Bring more water than you think you'll need... It's hot on that trail
However much water your brought, bring more.
Bring 4 or 5 bottled waters
Going or not going ?
Usually crowed
Closed all week due to a manhunt for a suspected cliff-dwelling murderer. Not ideal.
Нелегкий трейл 18 км в одну сторону. Если сложно за один день, то примерно по середине есть место под палатку . Берите средство для обеззараживания воды , надевайте трекинговую обувь.
Шикарные виды !
Nice trail. Sadly the start is really muddy and slippery! It gets better afterwards. If your up on top you can see the bay. Partly ropes to hold on during the way up and down. - Ju Le
I had the best jungle adventure tour on Saturday! This was a hike, kayak ride, 2 zip lines, lunch, and a kayak ride / hike back. - George Kurtyka
Great spot for kayaking with a view! Paddle up to the Dolphin Restaurant and stop for lunch. - Clancey B
Popular seafood place in Hanalei town. Very nice blackened fish salad with blue cheese dressing. Nice Mai tai too. - Paddy
Close to the dry and wet caves, shore breaks and good snorkeling... Plus camping! - Dan R
