Oh my word. Pay the price but so worth it. Perfect Japanese food in this two Michelin started restaurant . Sashimi , sushi , sea urchins all melt in the mouth! Good heaven and I will return!
Ishii-san is on the highest level, creating locally sourced kaiseki while being directly in touch with the fisherman to ensure the highest quality experience. Hands down best in Europe
Umu serves authentic and timeless Japanese food at its finest, using top quality ingredients. The way they prepare the food is simply amazing. Read more
TO: must haves include the zingy hand-cut red prawn tartar , delicatelysweet-salt-smoke eel kabayake or buttery yellowtail nigiri . Also memorable: sake-cured Scottish langoustines with tomato jelly .
The kaiseki here is traditional in its form but often modern in its offerings, with a set menu of eight exciting, meticulous, and ingredient-focused dishes and an impressive wine and sake list.
An experience out of this world. You have to try the Japanese fish and chips .
Top 1 Japanese restaurant in London . Authentic food, wagyu beef out of this world. Atmosphere is cozy . Be prepared to £££ spend quite a bit though.
Get the chef 's special bento on the lunch menu !
An experience with one of the most expensive restaurants in London. Other places have better sushi and Japanese but you've got to shortlist this for a special occasion .
Sweet red prawn sushi P16 per piece 8/10
Amazing sashimi g8 wine list poor selection of cocktails best japense in London but pricey wagu was £90
Try the rice pudding it was one of the best I've ever had.
The sashimi is out of this world. But if you are not careful you can easily rack up a tab of £175 plus per person.
Go for the set menu and wine pairing . Expensive, but worth it. Service is wonderful.
Tasting menu , ????, and if you wish to regret nothing, add the tataki wagyu
Top Japanese (Kyoto style) restaurant in London
Lovely plate of delicious nigiri
My fav Japanese restaurant in London so far
Traditional kaiseki ryori. Amazing sushi but expensive . A huge treat for yourself! ;)
So good! Fatty tuna ????
The food is very good and services recomanded
Great food and service. Traditional Jap. vs Nobu and co. Annoying draft though.
Amazing! Get the tasting menu !
Closest expirence to a restaurant in Tokyo in the heart of London.
expensive but worth it. should book appointment early
I got the omakase and sushi extras, personally thought the rice was too tough and dry, other than that, fish was good
Excellent food and service
Kaiseki good but expected better from pricey 2-star Michelin
Very disappointed. Did not like the miso soup , sushi is ok although there isn’t many options. In my opinion it is the worst Japanese restaurantI’ve ever been to!
Sit at the counter for the best experience.
Amazing food!
Two Michelin stars .
Michelin service @ Michelin prices for unimpressive Japanese. Avoid, London has much better...
Extremely overrated! Service was great, rest decoration is very nice. However, food is average and not worth the value at all.
amazing - the service is sublime Read more

Never again
Overpriced and too small portions
Хорошие напитки и приятная фоновая музыка .
Не плохое меню. Хорошее обслуживание . Симпатично и уютно .
Вкусно, но дорого. Есть места получше
Prefer the £50 sushi set to the omakase– if you’ve had omakase in Asia, never have it in London - JC
One of my favourite sushi places in London. Quality. Not flashy but it's a must for sushi lovers. - Hongjai
Probably the best japanese nouvelle cuisine in LDN. Dfntly better than Nobu (in NY). Try Usuzukuri Sashimi, Tuna Avocado in TacoChip starter. Wagyu/Foie Gras nigiri sushi is as you might expect..! - Makiko
