People appear to stop at the first ticket machine they find and join a queue. The further away from the main train station you walk, the more chance you’ll find an available machine without a queue.

If you have reduced mobility, use a wheelchair, or even have a pushchair for infants, then the Paris metro system is not for you, expect Line 14 and 90% of the RER, which is accessible.

This is a transport hub and gets you to London via Eurostar. The place is modern, clean and always staff to help.

So many people cheating in the metro… The Paris metro at its worst. Maybe you can be brave and say 'no' if people follow you when going through the gates.

Prenez la ligne 4 ou 5 pour aller à la Gare de l ’Est. Et la Gare Montparnasse est directement accessible par la ligne 4. 

Passage secret : passer les RER B et D pour rejoindre la ligne 2 station La Chapelle
