A trip to Uchiko is a treat for the senses, with creative flavor pairings in dishes like rosemary-smoked duck with candied citrus or pork-belly-and-egg sushi . Decor is almost too beautiful to look at. Read more
Truly as great as everyone says. The menu is fully loaded with innovative twists on Japanese classics. Don't miss the ceviches , Hot Rock, & Jar Jar Duck and read all about it on WinstonWanders below!! Read more
Grab a cappelletti spritz and dig into the P38, crunchy tuna roll , wagyu , yokai berry , and save room for the milk and cereal dessert !
An Austin fave: special daily nigiri , sweet potato tempura , yokai berry salmon , wagyu hot rock, p-38 and crunchy tuna roll , and save room for milk and cereal dessert
i had my bday dinner here and it was lovely. the menu is extensive so if i had to chose...my favorites: the hot rock (sear your own wagyu beef ), scallop sushi , and fried milk dessert . skip the rolls.
Simply brilliant! Sibling to Paul Qui’s Uchi, get ready for some wildly creative Japanese food art ! Stunning beautiful presentations & mind-blowing desserts ! Understandably... space is always limited!
fantastic veggie options : the brussel sprouts r 2 die 4! ginger veggie rolls & sho chiku bai nigori. in my top 10 meals of a time!! just wow.
Really amazing. The Fried Milk dessert is a MUST! The Yokai Berry and Pork Jowl are also favorites. The sake toro nigiri is incredible. Great options for everyone, even if you don't like raw fish .
Best sushi ! Everything was amazing! Order the specials. For sake , order dreamy clouds. It is an amazing drink - slightly dry and not too sweet. The place is expensive , but is totally worth the money.
Incredible to die for Japanese food . The flavors and combination of ingredients are to die for. Don't waste your time ordering traditional sushi , check out the more adventures menu options.
The yokai berry is divine. Full of flavor, the citrus , sweet pear , & salty kale stand alone, but next to the salmon , the dish is the most complete Japanese dish you could ever dream up. Wow, just wow.
Stunning food and flawless service. Our server Kenji put together an incredible meal for us. I'll be dreaming about the wagyu beef belly for a long time.
We had an amazing meal here. The sushi was fresh and very well prepared. Excellent service and ambiance. 5 star experience!
James Bear Award-winning Chef Tyson Cole’s restaurant offers painstakingly crafted bites like Jar Jar Duck - Seared duck breast and duck confit served in a mason jar and pumped full of flavored smoke.
Great saki ! The brussle sprouts were perfect, the kinoko needed a contrasting texture, the beef & romaine lettuce was chewy. Other rolls were on point & well executed . A solid & enjoyed effort.
More meat offerings than Uchi. And that wagyu short rib joint is incredible
Everything is awesome but the congee is out of this world! More cooked food than Uchi. Be prepared to drop some Benjamins for dinner but it's probably my favorite restaurant in Austin right now. now
Monday nights they have vegetable nigiri - think four varieties of mushroom , or avocado , squash and more. I am a sushi traditionalist and I *loved* it. Trumpet mushrooms to die for.
Went here for my birthday this year & everything was so tasty! Each dish you order comes out one at a time, but you don't get uncomfortably full that way. And trust me, you'll want to eat it all.
Simply put, they do amazing things with food. Big eyed tuna , Brussels sprouts , quail , beef tongue , hamachi , all things I'm not worthy of.
Omakase , close your menu now. Also dat wagyu ????. While being a lover of traditional sushi I still think this was prettyyyyy great. Fried milk was OKAY I would rather have more raw fish ✌️.
Fantastic experience. Must get the brussel sprouts . Tasmanian trout , hot stone wagu beef and the 3 day aged beef tougue (which the waiter called beef butter)
It's delicious! High brow Japanese done in a surprisingly casual environment . Prices are high, fish is fresh, preparations are creative. Get the tobacco cream to finish.
If they tell you there are no reservations take a risk and do a walk in. Great chance they'll find you a table if your party is a manageable size. Count on a 20min wait. It's worth it!
A fantastic restaurant serving up fresh fish and highly inventive dishes, Uchiko may be off the beaten path, but is well worth the trip. Don't miss the Brussels sprouts !
Awesome food. Dont be shy to try some of the unconventional items on the menu! My sister lives in California and dreams about some of her favorite dishes here.
Incredible service, great choices from the Happy Hour menu including the Sake Nigiri for $4 for two pieces.
A great selection of veggie options . The komaki rolls, avacado nigiri and the trumpet mushroom nigri are a must try.
With Paul Qui's recent Top Chef win and rise to celebrity stardom, we can no longer keep Uchiko's Japanese farmhouse fare to ourselves. [Eater 38 Member]
Unbelievably exquisite food with unparalleled service staff . By far, the best most unconventional sushi experience I've ever had.
The P-38 roll is epic, the Hot Rock is fantastic when you're looking for a non-fish option, and the Fried Milk (pictured) is the best dessert in Austin, and quite possibly all of America.
Superior to uchi because of all the wagyu offerings. Fried chicken , amberjack, the wagyu sashimi joint…..tigers nest
Fantastic small plates that pack a punch, jar jar duck was really something, id stay away from the single pieces
Love everything about this restaurant , from the philosophy on food to the inviting environment and of course the amazing food Read more

Do a chef 's tasting. Seasonal menu but faves are Hama chili , Brussels sprouts , bacon tataki, uni corn dessert . ????

This is the best place to experience real culinary artistry for the first time. It's delicious and I think it's very fairly priced for the quality.
Jar Jar Duck is one of the most fun things that will come out of the kitchen. A culinary piece of performance art .
Love loved it all! Top picks: salmon sashimi , magoro & goat cheese , 'bacon ', and shishito peppers ! Finish w the fried milk dessert !
Stunning appetizers and a great happy hour menu ????
Omakase doesn't limit itself to Japan & draws from Qui's Filipino background and penchant for street food . Maguro sashimi w/ goat cheese , fuji apple , & pumpkin seed .
Try the Jar Jar Duck . A "5 senses" experience you can't get wrong! Or get a seat at the sushi bar for a close up view at the masters' work.
The cucumber , sesame , gazpacho & milk curd was heavenly, light and refreshing.

Go for the Hiyashi Chuka if you want a different perspective on ramen; the cold noodles certainly have a unique flavour and former texture; yum! :3 - Paul Tran
The BYOB is a great value with lots of meat and veggies. Try the grilled edamame and miso soup. - Greg
Ask your server what's good on the daily specials list, for hidden gems like seared foie gras nigiri with candied quinoa on top or a basil semifreddo with tomato sorbet. - Kathryn Yu
