Broad Street Market

Listed in the National Register of Historic Places, the Broad Street Market dates to the Civil War. Today, vendors sell flowers , meats and prepared foods to locals and visitors in PA's capital city .

My personal faves: Simply Soup , Curry in a Hurry, Zimmerman's peanut butter at Green Ridge Acres, all the meats at Hummers. Oh yeah, and all the produce especially in the summer.

The Broad Street Market in Harrisburg is the oldest continuously operated farmers market in the United States that dates back to the Civil War. Visitors can find fresh produce and prepared foods.

Parking on the street? Be sure to check all signs around your spot! There's street cleaning on some market days during the month. Park Harrisburg tickets very quickly, too!

Didn't try much here, but LOVED the Jamaican veggie patties . I've been craving them since I got back from the Cayman Islands , and I might even say that the ones here are TASTIER.

Amazing selection of stalls and places to eat

The ATM machine - yes, down to one now - is hit-or-miss. Bring cash, though many of the vendors can take a card payment.

The house special hand roll at Sita's Kitchen is delicious!

The pretzel logs are out of this world! You'd be remiss to go without one.

Make sure to try the Amish BBQ in the back building. Also dont forget the pretzels - they are quite tasty.

Best produce is at Swamp Fox Farms set up between the buildings from spring-fall on Saturdays.

Mini pretzel bolis are really good. Chicken bacon ranch is my favy.

Radish & Rye for all my produce!
