Both Katrina and Mardi Gras exhibitions are great. If you plan on visiting the Cabildo too buy both tickets for a 20% discount .
Very affordable . I lived in south Louisiana during Hurricane Katrina , and their display really moved me.

Awesome exhibits on Katrina impact and Mardi Gras history... much larger than expected, be ready to take about 90 min or more to get thru both floors (especially if ya read each poster/artifact)! - Andrew C
