A great Italian place that's very authentic abs pleasant to dine in. The food is delicious and the staff are friendly . Plenty to choose from. Affogato for dessert is a wise choice!
Love cod & lentils , soft egg pizza and meat balls . But the waiters are quite pushy...keeps asking if any dish is finished. But foods itself and atmosphere is nice. Will come back definitely.
Lovely Italian tapas place. Take a good company with you and try to order as many different dishes as possible. Everything tastes good (loved the chickpea&spinach meatballs and their pizzettas).
Is there anybody who still hasn't understood that you simply MUST have all the varieties of splendid meatballs ? Best choice: the Meatball Piadina . Keep an eye on the specials board! True treasures.
The wait at dinner time can be long (up to 2 hours), but it's well worth grabbing a drink at the bar and soaking up the atmosphere. The Fritto Misto is your reward!
Great setting for a lively yet romantic date . The dishes were decent. However, for £40 for two including a glass of wine , you can make better choices in London than Polpo.
Love this spot for small plates and good atmosphere. Always crowded but worth the wait. There's also a location near covent garden great for post theater dining! (3 of 4 petals via Fondu) Read more
Delicious lunch - the meatballs of all varieties were to die for. Good selection of cocktails and wines with the option for a carafe .
Delicious food, lovely staff . Fennel salad with hazelnuts and courgette salad fabulous. Seafood Fritto a must!
Owner Russell Norman has branched out on his own & the result, quite frankly, is remarkable: a hole-in-the-wall that has cool, understated interiors & some of the best food in the city . Read more
The atmosphere is great and you can taste real Italian food ! Small but delicious plates! The staff is super friendly !
Fantastic and reasonably priced tapas (esp. for London) - get the liver and also the Sardinia crisp bread plate with your Campari cocktail .
Spritz it up, then dive into their fantastic menu. House wine is their own = dangerously quaffable. Finish with an affogato . King of desserts !
Polpo is a small, tapas style restaurant with delicious, and we mean delicious, Italian food . They don’t take reservations , so come early and avoid the long queues!
Duck ragu , chickpea balls, roast tatties and spicy pork meatballs were all very good. Quite cosy/on top of each other.
Wonderful tapas in the heart of soho. Must try the sautéed octopus .
Lovely little Italian in Soho. Friendly staff and the food is amazing. Try the potato & parmesan crocchetta. Its so good I had to order more
Amazing prawn & artichoke linguine , bottarga plus Rabbit ragu , black olives & gnocchi . I will come back for sure!
Sure, there is better Italian cooking around. But you come here to drink and laugh and then go home and have sex with someone you just met, which is a lot more fun than boring old food. Read more
Tip-top Italian tapas in Soho - impossible to book at since Giles Coren's rave review. Heavenly food, proper service and great Twitter action too. Low-key cool crowd. Again please and soon!
The food is excellent regardless, but an intimate meal at the bar is a much better experience than as a group at a table.
A Venetian bacaro meets Lower East Side Manhattan bar , Polpo has a lovely buzzy atmosphere & relaxed but professional service in the middle of London’s Soho. The food is simple but generally very good Read more
Try the Cured pork shoulder & pickled pepper Goat cheese , roasted grape & honey bruschetta Veal & porcini meatballs Cauliflower & Fontina gratin
Delicious food and drinks worth the visit but it's very busy with tables really close to each other
Italian tapas with real Aperol spritz 👌🏻
A great choice of seasonal tapas dishes. The house wine is decent too.
Russell Norman is like the Ron Jeremy of the restaurant industry; creative, fun and always mixing it up a little. Take her wherever you can get in. Read more
Great campari bar !! Get the polpo salad & fennel salami with figs . Unmemorable: Meatballs , fennels almond , potatoes , fritto misto -
The bruschetta was amazing - goat cheese grape and walnut . However, be careful of one of the waiter , who scammed me. Said I only gave him 20 quid when both my friends saw me give 40.
Soho's answer to a Venetian "bacaro". The anchovy and chick pea crostini is delicious and the mortadella , gorgonzola and walnut is an inspired combination. Read more
Really surprised how good the food is here. Think this might become a regular spot.
Hmmm lovely very arty hipster style, lovely cocktails loooong waiting. Food is ok bistro style;( very expensive I have been in HIX Mayfair couple days ago I didnot pay that bill shame..;( )
spinach (with parmesan and soft egg ) pizza is delicious. also, salad with beans too.
Delicious appetizers . Try the octopus and the arancini . Very good!
very cool, very hip and trendy .ambiance is great.but that's as far as it gets for me.I really don't understand what all the fuss is about this place.food is slightly above average.
Good way to get full by tasting a little from everything. Lovely staff .
Amazing Italian Tapas , yes ITALIAN, beautiful waiters too, always busy, check out the tiny bar downstairs!
Had to wait 1h to get a table ready even tho we were next, food was nothing special, arancini (literally 2) were the size of Ikea's meatballs , cacio pepe was tasting more of soap than cacio or pepe.
One of our favourite Italian eateries in London. The Campari bar downstairs dishes out cocktails made with our favourite red apéritif. Read more
It is a good choice for a cosy diner before movie kind'a place. Warm beer and cold tapas .
I have dreams about the lamb and mint meatballs . Best food in London.
Really fun restaurant with great food and a relaxed atmosphere must go back.
really enjoyed the liver and flank steak with truffle cream. meatballs weren't anything special.
Nice trendy Italian tapas great for night out with friends
Put your name down with the friendly staff around 1h before you want to eat. Then hang out at the bar ... and you won't notice the hour go by! Don't let anyone push in, mind!
Woof! Potent cocktails ... Vin Santo cannoli makes a nice mini dessert (but pricey )
Get the pork meatballs and ask for some bread to sop up the extra sauce
Great music - relaxed atmosphere - food looks good - hope it tastes just as food
Venetian inspired tapas , rustic and genuine. Everything is good.
All of it. The veal is amazing, much as we should disagree.
Delicious food even though not 100% Italian. Good and quick service with smiling personnel. Try to book beforehand as it could be really crowded over the weekend. - Gozde Acar
Great place. Amazing Burrata, make sure you get the fresh peppers and sausage. - Roberto Bua
