One of my favourite restaurants in the area. But not great for groups . Better for date nights , with a seat at the bar . Burrata is excellent, and so are the pasta dishes and mains. Tasty and authentic
Three of the hardest working chefs in London and their lovely shiny pizza oven rescued my hitherto disappointing evening. Caution: sitting at the bar will make you want everything on the menu. Do it.
Olives are fantastic, burrata is not to be missed, salad with sun dried tomatoes can be shared, pizzas aren't small (def larger than avg personal pan pizzas ) & we loved the pasta & Zorzal vino too!
Delicious food at very reasonable prices and the first grappa I've really enjoyed! Great atmosphere and a lovely respite from the cold. Just be a bit respectful of that n'duja, it's certainly spicy .
Good food & pizzas are a good balance of cheese & sauce. Cocktails good, but small in size & took a while to be made. Drinks service was slow overall. A good date place or if you're in a group.
Consistently good food, often my go to restaurant for this reason. Fantastic staff . If you're local get a locals card - 20% off for lunch !
A really nice place. Interesting tastes and good quality of the ingredients. Even the bread at the start was amazing. The pizza with the broccoli was really interesting but a bit too much.
Probably the best Italian in Hackney! Atmosphere's good & staff are helpful (the menu's fully in Italian, so if you don't understand the language, staff are available to help out)!
Eat the delicious burrata , bright green meaty olives and wonderful pizzas . A great bloody mary too!
The Food, atmosphere, selection of drinks and service are great. Highly recommend booking a table on Fridays or weekends as the place gets very busy!
tried the fennel sausage pasta , beetroot/carrot salad , prosciutto pizza and it was ALL AMAZING. the best italian i've had here in london so far!
Try for the high bar stools in front of the kitchen. Not only you'll have a great view , you'll also get looked after by the chefs !
Lovely authentically "Hackney" restaurant - open kitchen , wooden tables , strip lighting, china plates, tattooed clientele. Nice food and a fun environment.
While the atmosphere and cocktails are great, I can't help but feel the pizza is pricey for what it is. I can however recommend the burrata - it's delicious ( even if not much cooking goes into it)
Fantastic (gluten-free) experience with kids
Very tasty meats and a good selection of original, tasty pizzas . Can't wait to go back to try more!
Gluten free pizza base average. Toppings made up for it highly recommend the seafood pizza .
Great place. Amazing Burrata , make sure you get the fresh peppers and sausage .
Richmond Road’s new hangout is heaving with east siders who are drawn to this banging new pizza and charcuterie restaurant tucked within the neighbourhood.... http://barchick.com/find-a-bar/lardo
The artichoke fritti with parmesan cream. The pizza dough was brilliant but the toppings were ok and I don't feel that the 12.50 prize tag justified with Franco Manca being as good at 1/2 the price.
Pizza , brunch , drinks. It’s all delicious here. Very cosy, rustic style food and ambience.
Best menu items are those which aren't the pizzas . The starters are amazing, get a few to share. Live a little!
Really nice place, not the usual franchise big chain. Personal and really good ingredients used. Had the pizza and was not let down
Brilliant italian restaurant , especially the pizza
Pizzas are not too small! I had to leave some. I recommend you try something you wouldn't normally go for... Be surprised!
I wanted to like but I did not. Pizzas were average, taste was to strong. I was served a pizza burnt too salty and could not eat it. I asked a new one, no problem to replace it quickly.Nice staff
Extremely cool space with solid pizzas . I think I liked the pasta better though.
4/5 stars: Lardo has legs: when the novelty-seekers have moved on, it will still be here making nouveau middle-class Hackney’s denizens happy. Read more
Trendy Italian restaurant local to Hackney. Buzzing atmosphere and authentic pizzas .
Equally good for brunch as a relaxed evening meal. Nice staff and a great menu.
Love the front bench in the sunshine with a flat white and baked eggs on the way. But I'm biased!
These guys do great gluten free pizza ! Just remember to remind them it's g free. Spiced lardo is epic too!
Bacon , egg and avocado toast was great. Pizzas light and delicious.
Great choice of vegetarian pizzas ; inventive cocktails ; amaro
Overpriced. Pizza is not worth £12.5 and starters are expensive (cost of calamari and burrata are around £1.5 & sell for £9.2 and £6.5). Good service but food is a hipster rip off. For me its a 6.
Great pizza . Try the specials, especially if they have burrata .
Fantastic small plates eg cuttlefish with chickpeas . Perfect hackney brunch spot
The ratings of people that say excellent burrata and olives should not count. Come on guys, theres 0 cooking there.
Nice interior design . Great outdoor area during sunny days.
Every single dish is genuine and tasty. Go for pizza
Yum! Incredibly reasonable and delicious pizzas . What a gem.
Nice place ans nice pizza . The service was very welcoming
We asked for some extra bread for the appetizers . Well , to be fair , we didn't specify how much bread we actually wanted.
Great pizzas , cocktails and small sharing plates
Very tasty. Great pizza and nice atmosphere
Decent price and excellent pizza.Combination of simplicity and quality.
Great pasta , great pizza and amazing service!
Burrata ! Salt cod . Pizzas .
Superb in every way. Killer negronis !
It's a lovely restaurant , the food is ok. It's not authentic italian but it's ok.
The pizza is always delicious and I'm a picky eater. The service is good. Great for dates and family dinners. Crab salad is delicious. Lovely staff. - Jessica Ansaldi
A fantastic local Italian. amazing service and even better value. Look out for Toni the manager really good fun! Try the profiteroles AMAZING - Shane McCabe
Delicious and wide range of food specials in cafe: great bolognese & pork belly on sourdough when I visited. - Edith S
Great historic local green area, wonderful in summer, but unfortunately spoiled by influx of hoxton tw@ts from nearby broadway market - Papa Shango
Good hamburger. Very friendly service. Its perfect stay at the terrace on sunny days. - Jordi Llobet
