Go to the "new" American wing. It's beautiful, and has some interesting furniture displays, as well as several paintings by my favorite- Georgia O'Keefe

Don't miss the daily tours too. There are different tours focusing on different subjects ranging from collection highlights tour to European arts etc. Docents are excellent.

The American Wing is amazing. Plan to spend 3 hours here at minimum. 2020 is their 150th year and have many special events . Check with them on that. When traveling to Boston MFA is a must see!

Pricey but it's worth an annual visit. There is a constant rotation of galleries & so forth which makes for a different experience every time. The lectures here are sometimes interesting. Decent food.

First Fridays is a great time to visit. There's a cocktail party in the Koch Gallery and the rest of the museum is pretty empty on a Friday night. Best of both worlds if you want to socialize or not.

Interesting museum with a bit of everything. Happy to have seen the Eminence Grise and some Signacs that I like.

You can't miss Thomas Sully's massive painting , "Passage of the Delaware", which depicts George Washington and his army crossing the Delaware River during the American Revolution.

This is a huuge museum with a LOT of exhibits . Expect to spend a full day! My favorite is the exhibits on the ancient world.

In the Art of the Americas wing, don't miss the "Behind the Scenes" galleries , which have a very meta focus ("How does the museum decide what to display?"). They're almost hidden and, as such, empty.

Incredible selection of American art from the puritans through to contemporary . Also the European impressionist collection is small but excellent.

Outstanding art , food (near the info center,) It's good alone and in groups and try the art classes they are entertaining and interesting.

This museum is beautiful and worthy of a visit while in Boston. The layout is clean & functional, allowing you to navigate through each room with ease.Just remember to wear comfy shoes .

There are several Monet collection on the second level. And a very interesting work by Picasso on the first level. And don't miss Pollock's work at the third.
