Seals , anemones , tide pools , starfish...one of the most beautiful beaches I have been to in Southern California ...wade into the water near the rocks and wade through sea grass to get a better look.
A family favorite of ours, this beach and the campgrounds are packed in the summer so make reservations early. If day-tripping, get there in the morning to grab a spot on the sand.
They call this beach “the World’s safest beach ” and for good reason. It’s clean , has mellow breaks and is close to local shops and restaurants if you want to grab a quick beach bite.
Double and triple check the campsite you reserve . We booked through Reserve America and the site we chose was listed as full-hookup. Not the case! Dry camp.
A peaceful , clean beach with gorgeous sunsets . Can’t ask for more.

We saw some seals , sea anemones , sand dollars, and more. Went 4 pm until 6pm on a weekday and it was easy to park for free. Water is much warmer now!
