Probably the creamiest ice cream I've had in the bay area yet. The mocha almond fudge and raspberry swirl was a solid combo. Single is huge with two flavors, so get the petite if you're not hungry.
Customer service is great and the ice cream even better! Try combining flavors for a unique experience!! My personal favorite: coffee cookie dream & rocky road
Opened in 1894. Claims to have invented Rocky Road , Toasted Almond , and Swiss Milk Chocolate flavors in the first decades of the 20th Century. Moved to current location in 1961.
Good food and better ice cream ! I requested a brownie sundae with chocolate ice cream instead of vanilla w/lots of chocolate syrup...DROOL! I've had their Western Bacon Burger which was very good!
Hot tip: save money with kids by ordering a deconstructed kids’ banana split . Up to 3 flavors, up to 3 toppings, banana can be on the side, whipped cream + cherry 🍒 for $8.50.
If you go before a game get there early to have dinner/lunch. The crab sandwich , crab salad & onion rings are great. Make sure you save room for ice cream , the selection is FANTASTIC!
Solid sandwiches , clean place, A+ customer service. Only tried the regular vanilla ice cream (there's also vanilla bean ) but it was really good. Bring $$$. Almost $5 for a single-scoop cone . Ouch!
The line was insane but moved quick. The location is legendary. We go for the dessert and the milk shakes are not to be missed.
I got the cookie connection and it was bomb. I suggest splitting sundaes unless you're a beast and really fiending some ice cream
Classic traditional historical neighborhood establishment. Going for the ice cream . May be a line . Be patient. It’s worth it. Get ice cream .
I visit this restaurant from time to time and the level of their service improves a lot. The staff are corteous and kind. I also love that the serving time is fast.
The massive Black & Tan Sundae is what Fentons is known for, which combines toasted almond and vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauces . Read more
One of the best creamery in The Bay Area! A must place to go especially during summer!
Absolutely delicious! You can't really sit out in front like they do on Up, but still REALLY good. Get anything with caramel . It's life changing.
This place is always packed but it's a really good place to cool off when it's 100 degrees in Walnut Creek!
Consider sampling the endless array of additional ice cream flavors , which includes choices like black walnut , blueberry cheesecake , butter brickle. Read more
If you're driving and nearby parking is scarce, park in the parking lot at 41st & Piedmont. The walk will do you good and you'll save time.
Their Peppermint Bark at Christmas time is fabulous!!
Black and Tan sundae is the best! Swap out one of the flavors for Swiss milk chocolate ice cream to make it even better than the original
The petite cup serving is more than enough for an adult. The single is way too much ice cream--even though you'll definitely eat it all because it is do delicious.
Fantastic. The real deal. Is not my favorite style, but I have to say Fentons is really old school ice cream , banana split creamery.
The BEST place to get an ice cream stomach ache! They serve a mean French Dip au jus as well .
Long line but hey.. As a youngster from this area it was all about hanging and still is .... Right.. I would sit at the counter to get fast service and have the sliders any day. no wait....
Eggnog . A 119-year old creamery. More than 30 "fabulous flavors" like banana nut and mocha almond fudge and occasional seasonal flavors like apple pie and eggnog . Read more
The Banana Jr. is a perfect (giant) banana split . No need to go with the full-size.
Have your ice cream sundae served in a "boat" instead of a sundae dish so all flavors may be accessed without digging to the bottom of their generous helpings .
Coffee cookie dream is a good flavor. I'm sure the other sixty are also good.
Black and Tan !!! All the way! Get it in a bowl instead of the tall ice cream glass. Easier to eat and you get to enjoy both flavors before they melt.
Turkey Bacon Melt, followed by the Black & White sundae . Get the sundae with cookie dough and Swiss milk chocolate ice cream . You won't regret it.
Fucking incredible. An absolute must for the sweet tooth. The burgers and fries aren't bad but the ice cream is legendary.
Good diner food , but make sure you make some room for dessert . They're best known for their HUGE sundaes
This creamery has been around from over 100 years! Try the Eggnog milkshake - it's a classic. Read more
Food Network's Top 5 Desserts : #1 Bananas Special (this place is also birthplace of rocky road ice cream )
The best deal is to get a "single" with 2 flavors split it with a friend or bring it home and eat it over a couple of days. It's a lot of ice cream !
all single scoops are actually double; highly recommended to split CCAC and chocolate marble . the combination is vanilla ice cream with caramel + chocolate sauce, with a little almond crunch. heaven!
The regular sundae is big enough for two and the petit sundae is perfect for one.
If you'd like your sundae horizontal instead of vertical, the technical term here is to ask for it in a "banana boat". Then you can get to both flavors of ice cream , simultaneously.
The lines are long but the waiting is worth it. Lots of favors from Strawberry cheesecake to Rocky road . Enjoy!
Try the Coffee Cookie Dream Milkshake - delicious coffee ice cream and a pile of cookies waiting for you at the base of the glass. Read more
The coffee cookie dream has the best coffee ice cream ever.
You can't go wrong with the black and tan sundae lol
Get the flight for ice cream to try three different flavors. Best deal of the menu, enough to serve two.
Fenton's not only a place for ice cream , but they have wonderful selection of breakfasts for reasonable prices. :-)
Best ice cream spot in the Bay Area. It's been around for over 100 years and never gets old.
The cold fudge is a great way to help keep your sundae from turning into a puddle before you eat it. It's not listed on the menu, just ask nicely.
Superb ice cream . Everything is good ! Lots of seating indoors
Amazing. Must remember the size of one scoop might need to do petite scoop next time !
their caramel sauce is so good! And not so sweet! Pairs great with vanilla ice cream or cookies and cream
Back room is great for some quiet and great for families and large groups. Weekdays are less crowded but not by much.
Get the chicken strips , not the chicken tenders . The strips cost $2 less and don't come with fries , but they have 5 strips vs 4 in the tenders...
The workers are too sweet! Love the ice cream, and the great service. Great location. - Leah W.
Best chocolate and coffee ice cream I’ve ever had! Get a scoop of each! - Adena Brenowitz
I really like the brown rice milk tea. I haven't had it anywhere else in the Bay Area. - Alice Hsu
Great coffee, and all the food is vegan. Yes, even the pizza rolls. Enjoy! - Brook Shelley
Nice community theater. Parking and plenty of dinner options before or after the movie. - Edward Kiruluta
