Great spot. Pub area has intimate and relaxed atmosphere , beer garden is spacious with lots of tables. Friendly and welcoming staff .

Excellent food, if a tad pricey . Friendly service . Handy location for a drink after a nice walk through Sydenham Hill Woods.

Not cheap but a great beer garden and good pints. Good roast as well ...

Roasts are pretty good, maybe except the lamb (tough and sinewy). Service is good, but good takes forever to arrive (30 - 60 mins on a busy Sunday). Expensive.

Quintessentially British. Loved the Cumberland sausage and mash with gravy .

the trays for two (like fish and chips , vegetarian selection , etc) are a great value for sharing, at least as compared to regular menu price.

Pretty much zero signal, data or phone, for O2 users. The Youngs Wi-Fi network seems to work though, if you register. Anyway, nice place - just had a decent Sunday roast here.
