Two words: RESIDENT CAT! Other than that cosy,great atmosphere,full of bookshelves and board games ,occasional live music performances ,tasty deserts and mulled cider ! Service is a bit lacking though :(

Great (ever changing) choices of beers , and great food. Burgers and scotch eggs in particular are spot on. Grab one of the chesterfields by the window if you can!

Great pub , great for football , going on a date or just having a nice chill out .. on the weekends, the music is good and shuts at 2 in the morning. what more do you want from a pub experience.

Pretty hectic on a Friday night with a passable covers band, but still lots of good local beers (hastily poured), no idiots to speak of and a quieter area if that's your thing.

One of the few pubs that serve fruli on tap . If you like beer , cider or anything fruit flavoured you will love it!

Can get horribly busy at weekends, and the decor is looking a little tired these days... But good beer , food and live football/rugby make up for it.

The veggie sausages are surprisingly nice. Good selection of beer too!

Food was alright, portions were ok ish, but I'd rather not have my roast with a cocktail stick through it. Good pork scratchings and choice of proper ales , glass with a handle on the side !

The burgers are amazing- and bonus, this pub is dog friendly ; )

No chips on Sundays my friend. Unless you also want a hunk of fried fish atop. I do not.
