it is huge. if you wanna see the whole thing , be ready to spend more than 3 hours.it is really amazing and you should walk until the peak where the big pillars are which is called Gloriette ..
One word: HUGE! Go back in time and feel the breath of Sisi in this venue. You can take several tours , I recommend to take the Grand Tour ! The gardens are free to visit and offers a spectacular sight
Beautiful palace , a gem of Austrian baroque architecture , accompanied with amazing gardens for long promenades. Good news: free admission to the gardens .
Absolutely amazing, even though they don't allow pictures inside. Spend a good half a day here. Do the Grand Tour to immerse yourself truly into the history of the dynasty and this palace .
Get the ticket for the castle online to skip the cue. Difficult to park nearby, come with a cab. The park is immense, you can avoid all the paid for attractions and just walk for hours in this marvel.
Beautiful palace ! Very large garden grounds. No pictures allowed inside :( All of the rooms are decorated with period pieces from 17th-19th century Hapsburg And Napoleonic Eras.
You will be led from room to room with a self guided audio tour to discover the history of this palace . It was amazing experience and i highly recommend it????.1/2
This place is really beautiful! Nice place to walk and to enjoy the sun! I would recommend to just take the full palace ticket because the park is free and the other tickets doesn't worth it...
Beautiful royal palace and one of the most tourist attractions in Vienna. Amazing garden to spend you day on. Don’t miss climbing up the hill to enjoy the view over the city .
We took the grand tour for 16.40 € / adult with an audio guide that was very helpful. The palace is magnificent and the garden is perfect as well but better to comeback on summer to enjoy it most.
Here's how to do it: get a Grand Tour ticket from a ticket machine, bypassing the queue. Get an audio guide on your way in, and then head to the gardens behind the palace afterwards. Enjoy!
The tour was ok, but the palace grounds are top notch and free! Fantastic views and gardens . Be sure to go all the way to the pavilion/restaurant! They also had a great Christmas market
This Rococo-style residence where the Hapsburg rulers used to vacation is a great place to visit in the summer. The best part is the Kronprinzgarten, with rare citrus fruit trees that smell heavenly.
It is a must seen in Vienna, it will take one day to visit the zoo and another whole day one day to visit everything in classic pass tickets so make sure to consider the time
Well , the place is gorgeous. It is in a high demand and definitely worth to see. The park is beautiful too so make sure you buy the extended tickets with the park included.
Truly beautiful palace - I recommend to buy the pass to go to grand tour of the palace and into the different parts of the garden complex, it’s really worth it
Impressive. This castle has never been ruined so you get to see the original decorations, paintings and furniture . They sell stamps in the souvenir shop on your way out.

Don't buy the ticket for the Gloriette and the private garden ! You can walk to the Gloriette and have pratically the same view ! Also it's not allowed to walk inside the private garden anyways :/
Beautiful place, definitely a must for anyone visiting Vienna. Worth seeing all rooms and I recommend getting the Sisi package. Good historic complement for who is going to or have visited Versailles
This is one of Vienna's most important monuments . A place for monarchs, this huge area is home to amazing gardens and sculptures that are sure to delight all visitors. Don't miss the French Garden .
There is this hill behind the palace which is great for picnics and just to hang around. Either with friends or relaxing solo with a great book . Check it out!
Words can't describe this. Definitely on the top of the list of places you absolutely have to visit in Vienna. Also, the royal family's internal issues is the focus of the guided tour for some reason.
Beautiful Palace , amazing garden , little train service was useful to go to Palm House, Zoo and Gloriette for amazing views . Also sat and relaxed on the grass outside the palace which was awesome.
Order your ticket online. If you go to the ticket machines, you might have to wait 2 to 3 hours before you're allowed into the Schloss. Grand Tour is better value than Imperial Tour .
A must see for everyone! We bought the 'grand tour ' ticket (online!) and could see the palace , gardens , maze, gloriette ... very nice! Only 15 mins with car from inner stad.
Just one of the spots you have to visit in Vienna! And a very nice walk in the park and afterwards visit the zoo or the beer garden
This palace is massive and absolutely beautiful. The Gloriette , while quite a hike from the main grounds, has views of Vienna that make it extremely worthwhile. I will definitely visit next time!
It has very huge garden and also giant maze. I think also it has the biggest zoo in its garden . You can climb the top of the garden and see all of the city view . Prenses Sisi had lived here.
Wonderfull and huge place!! As beautifull as Versalhes... A "must see" in Vienna. If you have a sunny day, consider a visit to the huge zoo in the same complex for a perfect "one day" visit.
Beautiful & rich palace . Long que for the tickets. Buy ticket to see all 40 rooms. No need to buy one for gardens . Most part of gardens is public & free to visit.
Beautiful Palace & gardens ! Can get busy on weekends with 2hr waiting times to get into the palace ! The horse drawn carriage ride is very pleasant too.
I didn’t pay to go in to the palace but spent time walking the grounds. Plenty to see and great for photos. Thrilled that it snowed as well whilst there.
The perfect art of sclupture and green. It has a huge garden with a symetry. If you go there after the zoo , you won' have enough time and power to wander around.
AmaZing !!! Number 1 place to visit in Vienna. If you are greek you can read in greek the history of the palace .
It's nice and all...but there really needs to be seating, in the shade, for people who don't want to use the cafe to sit and eat/drink while they wait for their tours to start. It's very inhospitable.
The gardens are enough to keep you busy for the day. The mazes, the tropical gardens and the Gloriette are worth a visit and the cafe is good for lunch (if you want cake ).
Intricate palace with a detailed audio tour of the royal family that once inhabited it. During December, the front is scattered with Christmas markets (not as nice as the one in Rathauspark tho)
We bought the Grand Tour tickets where we checked out 40 rooms in the palace with a small device full of historic information. Was very interesting! Loved it!
Everything is beautiful and rich! Before or after visiting the palace , you can eat in their restaurant . The food is absolutely gorgeous no matter what you orderer!! Enjoy!!
Massive place to walk around - mainly to admire the palace and statues . Nice during Xmas and Easter with small stands and lighting around. Madness around toilets - beware. Pay2go inside when it rains
Take the grand tour to cover the most important parts of this palace in one hour and use the audio guide to help take you through the history of the rooms!
Astonishing view for the amazing city . MUST go if you were in Vienna!
Amazing day out. Palace tour is excellent, and the grounds are extensive, beautifully maintained. Not to be missed.
Really beautiful at all times of year. Excellent Christmas markets , excellent zoo , excellent palace tour .
A must visit at Vienna! Such a great place! I got the classic pass. Astonishing palace , great architecture and amazing colorful interior! Very luxurious .
Absolutely gorgeous. It's more spacey than Rathaus Christmas market and way cooler ????
Remarkable place to visit - so many activities to do ( palace tour - the maze - zoo )
James Bond and Kara Milovy pull up outside the Schloss Schönbrunn in The Living Daylights (1987). Supposedly this is their hotel , although the interiors were filmed at the Palais Schwarzenberg. Read more
we only visit the gardens and the Zoo , we needed a lot of hours but the scenery is stunning!! absolutely worth it!!!
So beautiful! Definetely worth the visit! - Artemios Voyiatzis
Like Schonbrun concert more that Hofberg one. Music is amazing. Acoustics just fantastic. BUT dances are awful. - Assel
Beautiful palace with a ton of history! Take a guided tour to fully appreciate. - Benni Prinz
Nice palace! The gardens did look a bit unmaintained. The art exhibitions are great! Klimt's collection is the highlight! - Petros A
Beautiful gardens to wander about in, and surrounded by some interesting exhibits. - Cian Mac Mahon
Awesome place! Big so you will need a lot of time for it, and its 16e but its worth it! - Lena
Inside is a restaurant but if you get its ticket you can go up on the roof and the scenery is amazing. It's nice to sit there and chill out. - azade badiee
Enjoyed it here. The tuna salad, vegetable strudel and the paninis were all good. A very nice setting & a beautiful view w/ a not over priced menu makes this place a pleasant stop. - Yulin Lee
