Incredible to think this is where my grandfather patrolled the beaches on horseback during the Cold War. The lighthouse has evolved past its initial design, it now guides us through our very history.
The best part of this beautiful place is outside the lighthouse , not in. Walk down to the beach and up around the rocks. Stay away from the tick grass.
Rather than paying the $9 entrance fee to go in to the lighthouse , walk down the trail to the left for free and enjoy the beautiful views of the lighthouse from the beach
If you don't want to climb the lighthouse don't bother paying admission. You can walk around the fence along the rocks for free and get great views .
Be sure to check out this incredible lighthouse and Museum . If you're not afraid of heights make the climb to the top for the best view in town .
Well preserved and maintained. Perfect experience for the whole family. Cook out and journey to another time.
$8 parking , $10 lighthouse admission. also check out the benches overlooking the Atlantic in the parking area.
The stairway to the top is very narrow and kinda scary, but it's a cool view at the top. The history museum inside the house is really interesting.
A must see! The air is just incredible, the views spectacular!
Come wearing shoes with good traction-the rocks are slippery- and the view is incredible
Go after 4pm for free parking and sunset views .
