Good selection of ramen , including spicy . Kani and pork buns are great. Sake options are nice, too. Had the Kara Miso Ramen this time, flavorful and rich. Extra spicy sauce on the side is available.
This cozy new Astoria Japanese restaurant serves 14 varieties of ramen , plus rice bowls , salads , and snacks . Several Yelpers and Foursquare users recommend the cold ramen dishes.
I've positively fallen in love with this place. Too bad I don't live in Astoria. The veggie miso ramen is EXCELLENT! One of the best bowls I've had in the city .
Ramen was very good and I am picky! The shrimp shumai were amazing!!! We also had the octopus balls, but I am not sure their proper name. So good. Piping hot. Great service! Two thumbs up!
The Kara Miso Ramen was exceptional! We love coming here: food always good, cozy atmosphere & great service. Best kept secret in Astoria
Lovely place! Great service! Great food. Ask for NO Spicy if you don't eat spicy food , because most of their menu is spicy . Love the place but that's a pity that they are open only until 10pm.:(
the ramen is just ok here. the spicy miso ramen is my go to, if I'm desperate for ramen . in the plus side, they have tsukemen, which is usually a better option here.
Kara ramen excellent, pork and shrimp buns were a bit dry, ebi shrimp good, mochi balls with ice cream awesome
The soy sauce is delicious and unique. I get the shumai every time I go there. If you're getting the shyoyu ramen put a little bit of the soy sauce in, it makes a difference for the better.
Places like this are one of the many reasons I love living in Queens. Better ramen / atmosphere than Toto or Momofuku, & no wait. Grilled chasu, curly chewy noodles , spicy broth .
This place is really good. First time I went it was opening weekend and packed. This time I got the spicy veggie ramen with extra nooldes. Bomb!
The only reason to come here is for the lunch special prices. The ramen isn't that great. Shuya and Hinomaru, both in Astoria, are far superior. The Spicy Miso (pictured) is better than the Shio ramen
The veggie ramen looks amazing! Still uses shoyu broth, which is far better than any other veggie ramen !
Delicious ramen . I had the Tantanmen, and it was the perfect amount of spicy .
Decent Ramen . Not the best I've ever had but it beats the Ditmars Ramen spots. I had the spicy ramen #4 it was good but get the hot sauce on the side cause its Spicy !
The ramen is awesome but don't neglect the other yummy snacks like Takoyaki and Okonomyaki
+: Hiyashi Chuka was great, service was excellent, and chashu was unique and tasty. ramen : only chicken broth , no tonkotsu , so not my favorite, but not terrible.
the cold ramen is perfect on a summer day. they also gave us complimentary mochi ice cream for desert . A+++
Friendly staff and awesome ramen . Can't go wrong with the Tamashii ramen, add some hot sauce on the side for a nice kick.
The spicy miso ramen broth was delicious. Definitely has a kick to it.
super friendly staff , and great service. also very clean bathrooms . love it here!!
It was very good, but very spicy and it doesn't say in the menu so I had a stomachache after dinner ;( But i'll definitely give them a second chance but I'll ask for a non spicy food first:)
Love the miso and shoyu ramen . Ask for house hot sauce on the side. The "kara" can be overwhelming if they put it on there for you.
Namesake tamashii ramen was awesome. Broth was amazing.
Amazing neighborhood joint with great service. Get the tamashii ramen. The pork belly buns are hit or miss.
Free green tea and amazing ramen . Perfect for chilly winter nights ????????
Wonder how long it has been here? Authentic spot. Had the curry ramen , very good.
Ramen is great! My favorite lunch spot in Astoria!
They often give you ice cream on the house. Nice staff and chasu, OH THE CHASU (however you spell it)
Great vegetarian options ! Has legit Japanese appetizers as well .????
Best ramen in Astoria . Perfectly cooked eggs and the pork buns are fantastic.
Go for the curry ramen . It has fried chicken ! So delicious!
The Tamashi ramen is the best I’ve had in New York
Delicious broth and great pork buns ! The fried chicken was tasty but needed a sauce to dip in
Our regular ramen place . Good Kara Miso Ramen , and a cozy ambiance .
Came here and got a cold ramen per a server's suggestion. Definitely coming back for a hot ramen !
Miso ramen , okonomiyaki and kara buta itame are some of my favorites
Cozy and friendly place. Will definitely comeback.
Ramen , takoyaki , and gyoza were delicious
The garlicky pork is really good. Once they gave us an extra one on the house! So nice!
Kara Miso Ramen (hot) or Kara Hiyashi Chuka if you want cold noodles !
Most delicious ramen in Astoria
Want a hearty bowl of ramen ? Get the Kuro Miso and ask for the thin noodles .
Champon ramen is awesome
The veg miso ramen was horrible. The only vegetables in it were canned mushrooms , canned corn , broccoli . It was a sad looking bowl
No different than any other ramen place in Astoria. It was good and the locals will like it but not worth leaving Ditmars for.
Kara Miso Ramen and "panda sake "
Tsukemen is on point!
Hard to find solid ramen spots in this neck of the woods, so a welcome addition. Try the house HinoMaru (New York style) with chashu and other toppings sitting in a creamy pork broth. - Ray Lin
Try the Tonkatsu Omurice with Demi Glacé sauce your 1st time here. - Anthony Chouloute
I went on opening day and ramen was great! I had the Tsukemen. I’ll definitely be back to try more things off their menu! - nous mangeons
They have ika shiokara, perfect beer match. Omusubi for breakfast/snacks & the best: shishamo smelts & mentaiko! - Karla A
Great movie theatre especially for date night as there's a lot of cool restaurants and bar surrounding the area. Great screens! - Tracy Solorzano
Great happy hour and nightly specials (especially burger and beer Tuesdays) and well crafted cocktails. - Rick Raven
