Magic Tree

This lone pine tree atop a hill in Griffith Park’s is a popular stop for hikers. Check the metal box next to the tree to read inspiring messages from previous visitors, and leave your own thoughts.

Beautiful, relatively easy hike . 15-20 minutes up from the bottom and another 20 to the Hollywood sign

The Magic Tree is a nice place to stop, have a break, and appreciate what Griffith Park has to offer.

Tra is pretty brutal uphill- narrow, dirt and rocks, and very uneven, but short - less than a mile. Bring lots of water and a hat, and good grippy shoes !

Theres a narrow flat rock about 15ft below the 911 marker. You can lay on your back with your head hanging off and look at LA upsidedown. It's a trip!

The view is completely worth the hike even if it's hard. Wear good shoes .

If you don't wear tennis shoes you're going to have a bad time
