Southernmost Point Buoy

Welcome to the Southern Most Point in the continental USA. Biggest tourist spot in Key West. On a clear day with a little help from binoculars you can see Cuba. Long lines usually for pictures.

Fun to wander by. But there was a line 50-deep when we stopped there (to take photos) so go early. Or just enjoy the stop and don't worry about the photo opp.

Best bet is to show up at 3 am as the line to take a picture is a week long.

You know that infamous tourist thing to do! It was cool and to see the horizon was beautiful . Key west is gorgeous and clean amazing place to hang out!

Sometimes there will be long queue to take photo and the best time is on the morning before noon.

Oddly you have to wait in line to take your photo by the buoy

The buoy is on land, i.e., purely for photo opportunities . If you're passing by, get a shot. Otherwise, the line is usually so long you should just keep on passing...

Rather than stand in line , stand on the corner of the road and grab a selfie between people approaching and leaving the buoy.

must stop! make friends while in line so you can take pictures for each other. early morning there is often no line .

Before being adventurous, take a bicycle... Its only 10 dollars or less for the day ???????? ! Otherwise great experience you can take tons of selfie there ????☺️

The line was not long at all (under 15 mins) and many friendly others waiting in line to take your photo for you.

A must do photo stop. There will be a line , but it moves pretty quickly.

It was worth it! The crazy, adventurous, sometime dangers, NOT so exciting, somewhat scenic ride from #Miami to #KeyWest!!

Go early in am or later in the evening bc the line gets really long!

Go first thing in the morning to avoid the crowds! Great place to sit and enjoy your coffee .

Come here early!!! I've heard nightmares of too many tourist on this spot. Get here, take a picture, and get out!!! ;)

Cross your fingers and toes that you don't get there at the same time as a group of cruise ship passengers. Be prepared to wait in line if you want a photo! It's worth it! :-)

Get here very early to miss the throngs of crazies that wait in line to take pics.

You def need to come out for the sunrise if you're down here!! Beautiful, romantic n breathtaking :)

A big line for pictures. Is a very tourist place!

Get here early in the morning! Although, the line went relatively quick!

To avoid some of the crowd, come hear at night.

If you go night time the place is empty but daytime People are in line a very long one to take pictures/ famous spot

Come early, if not you stand in line for 30 minutes to take a picture with the monument

Walk around duvall on an overcast day or early evening unless your intentions are to drink lots of water.

Be there early (even before breakfast ) to avoid waiting time. Light is even better anyway.

If you go to Key West you have to go here just to say you did.

Cool to say you've been to but nothing special compared to the rest of Key West. Long line for a photo even compared to other touristy areas. We just did a selfie at a distance.

Needs a paint job to refreshen up the words on it. Be prepared for a wait to get your picture taken unless you don’t mind someone else in it.

If you don't care who is in the picture, skip the line that forms and snap a quick pic.

At night, there is no line . The northernmost point is in barrow, alaska

Skip the line : sit on the wall in front of the marker and ask someone to take your picture.

This of course is NOT the 'southernmost point'. That point is just a little further west on military property, so this is the southernmost point that is publicly accessible.

When you're in Key West you have to visit this!

um yeah....damn the line to take pictures. just sit on the short stone wall in front and snap away!!

It's just a landmark on the corner of a street. Kinda cool to say you've been there but there's better views of the water.

Be careful, the waves can splash you from the sides!

Can get very crowded . But be a tourist . Must see.
