Large, bright and airy gastropub with a pleasant beer garden that is Britain's last remaining example of a Pell Mell (Pall Mall ) court. Great real ales .

Lovely venue close to Hampstead Heath . Perfect chilled out atmosphere. Outdoor and indoor facilities with great atmosphere. Good food and service. Will definitely visit here again.

Ham egg and chips was amazing and carne pizza also really good. Great service and very quick. Worth a visit even just for a drink in the garden

Garden is fab in the summertime and food is always good

Very nice place, but the attention is bad, the staff refuse to clean our table so we end up drinking with the previous clients drinks on our table.

Pros: nice large beer garden , large roasts, casual . Cons: not enough staff so slow service at the bar , can't have food from the menu in the beer garden (forced to eat the BBQ )

Really nice. If booking inside ask for the Conservatory. Nice beer garden but, unfortunately, food is not allowed. Very good for a sunday roast with kids, before or after the park :)

Try the Arancini - Not quite original but extremely good nonetheless. The sweet peppers sauce is really good too. Highly recommended

U want pizza ? They have pizza , too... Now if u ask me how it is I can't help u but the fact that u can get pizza in a pub is pretty awesome in itself... Respect!

The food is average at best. Service is very bad. The location and the venue are excellent, on the other hand, for these 2 reasons the pub is popular despite food and service and therefore no attempts

The week days are the best time to go, no crowds, can get served by happy staff and 2 cocktails for £8 are great...

They recently had a kitchen fire, so menu was very limited. Considering that burgers were okay. Affordable and nice garden

Note that on Sunday in summer at least the garden has a different, bbq menu to the main restaurant .

A wonderful spot to stop after a walk after visiting the Heath.

Try the Gammon and Eggs - Really good! Excellent quality gammon steak

Very good for Sunday roast , walk the Heath after the roast!

Vast pub with plenty of outdoor seating at the back. Food looks good but can be slow to arrive.

Other tips are a bit unfair.... Loads of new staff - none of whom are rude - but it does get busy when the sun decides to shine so of course service is slower.

Looks nice from the outside but the food we had was less than average for a Gastropub

Couldn't agree more with all the comments regarding food. Took a ridiculous amount of time for it to arrive, and was average at best. Chateaubriand a complete waste of money, don't bother.

There's a 'secret' skittles alley in the basement , but they keep it locked when not pre-booked.

Irritated. Waited to order food for 20 mins only to be told I was 10 mins too late since they don't serve in the garden after 8pm. upset since bartender knew I was outside, wanted food & no warning
