The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo

A must do when visiting in August. You can get tickets at the official store last minute. Lots of scalpers too in case you didn't plan ahead.

It's a MUST in Edinburgh to see, when you visit in August the town ! It was gorgeous!

Its really worthy! But if you're going to Edinburgh just for the Military Tattoo , don't think you're going to go back home at the same day! Manage a way to spend the night there :)

Buy your tickets from tattoo official website not from other websites like viagogo or you will pay double price.

Amazing. Sort of like The Triwizard Tournament meets Medieval Times meets the Olympics.

Avoid the ticket touts. By online or from the tattoo office on market street. Plenty of tickets left for 2012 shows. Boycott the touts!

Dress warm, be prepared for the rain and be aware that the scottisch pipers and drummers are unfortunately a small part of the show.

They have a later (10:30) Tattoo on Saturdays. Make sure you know what time you are booking for!

Do rent the cushion . It's usually not warm at the 2230 (1030pm) show, and it's only a pound ...
