Everything is delicious - note that the pastas tend to be oily, but hey it's good olive oil . Check the daily specials on the board (to your right). Lasagna here is always a safe bet. Smaller portions.
It doesn't get much better than being here on a warm summer night, eating perfectly al dente pasta , simple bread and olive oil , and striking up a conversation with the people next to you.
A Robert Sietsema Top Cheap Eat: This place dished out delicious pastas that run as low as $7.99, served with bread , olive oil , and as much ROmano as you'd care to sprinkle on. Read more
Lasagne if you don’t wanna think about what to get. It’s phenomenal and easy going. Pair it with a rubbish Italian import beer .
Very authentic italian pasta , cooked al dente like in Italy, the sauces are flavourful, tasty. Very cost-effective considering the location.
This is just about the best goddamn place in SoHo. The only Italian place this side of little Italy that Italian is spoken — by staff and customers — more than English.
get a classic pasta dish you like and you won't be disappointed. only thing that would make this cozy inexpensive restaurant better would be byob
Lived down the block from this place for 3 years and became addicted to their penne spinach ricotta , also love their chili oil which is kind of hidden near the water.
So cozy and really delicious. Don't miss this place. It's really amazing.
A delicious and homemade lunch option if you work nearby. Cosy atmosphere to stay in and friendly staff . Pasta is delicious
Perfect for a quick meal ! The patio was open tonight for a perfect summer meal. Got the lemon chicken with spinach — yum!
One of my favorite italian restaurants in the city . The place is small, so take out is a good idea.
Not the biggest fan of pasta , but at Pepe Rosso, I can eat anything. One of the best Italian places in the city , really tiny, but worth it. Recommend the Penne Vodka and Pappardelle w/ Sausages & Spic
Pasta ! It's always al dente , generously portioned , reasonably priced and generally delicious. The bresaola with arugula is also pretty tasty.
After all these years, I still like to stop by here every so often – no need to go fancy , just a rigatoni plate and a Pellegrino will do.
If you need some out-of-the-office time with your soul-soothing feast, Pepe Rosso does have about 8 to 10 seats inside; though do expect to fight someone for a chair if you go at a busy hour. Read more
It is located on a right hand side from the Church , not next to it, as map suggests. As of October '14 they have 'B' sanitary rating, though, the dishes are delicious and worth risking.
Ahhhh love this place! What a great concept! Porcini taglioni and homemade tiramisu...so delish! Perfect for a lazy sunday lunch while waiting for your laundry at the laundromat next door
Workers are a riot! The space is covered in jokes with their signage. Food is good for a rake out joint. Complimentary bread is tasty.
Bring your Italian/English dictionary and enjoy some fresh pasta served perfectly al dente . Check the chalkboard for the speciale del giorno
Great Italian take out place in SoHo! Quick food and a very small seating space. The food was really good.
So amazing that you would think to be in Italy... Except when you look at the window ! Just order, then sit, then taste the food !
Lunch special is great. Always good pasta . Very small though, so don't bet on a seat. And don't stick around longer than you need to!
Truly a hidden gem . Huge menu of delicious al dente pasta for $10-$12. And seriously AMAZING bread
Chicken milanese and any of the pastas . Reliable, cheap and fast.
Amazing penne vodka and rigatoni chicken ! Great prices too. Definitely recommend it for yummy pasta ! :)
Don't walk past this hole in the wall . Skip the whole "restaurant " idea and just order a plate of anything here - you won't be disappointed. Penne vodka in particular is top-notch.
Small cozy spot . Great pasta , I usually go for one of the specials which never disappoint.
Affordable & quick. Great pasta selections in the neighborhood . Dining area is tiny - definitely better to go.
Everything here is great. Quick, quality pasta . Few tables, so it's not for leisurely dining.
A must. Could be a favorite...A+ pasta , ambiance, service & location. Small & intimate .
The best Italian takeout in all of manhattan . Super flavorful food and great specials.
Hands down the best Italian food in NYC. Tight seating but if you want to show someone what real ingredients taste like over perfectly cooked pasta , bring them here. And if your date has any idea abou
Definitely the best pasta for take-out/delivery in NYC. Always look at the specials board.
The penne vodka is my favorite. Grab some spinach or broccoli on the side if you need some greens.
They have a spaghetti pasta with tuna that is out of this world! Quick and delicious meals every time!
If you’re passing through Soho then this place is a must! Authentic Italian pasta in one of the hippest parts of NYC! Real value for money !
Penne with pink sauce . So awesome. Best quick lunch spot if you're craving a bowl of fresh pasta .
Delicious authentic Italian . Great lunch deal . Very small space, though which is nice and intimate , but a little cramped.
Tiny place with maybe four seats that churns out really good pasta . Great to-go.
Legit lunch specials . Get a prosciutto panini and salad to go. p.s. don't ask for diet coke unless you want to be yelled at.
Tagliolini wit Prosciutto Shiitake Truffle Oil and Cream Sauce .
The penne vodka with pancetta is delicious, but so is every other pasta on the menu.
Cheap Italian that surprisingly tastes better than some more upscale restos. The hearty spaghetti bolognese and the spicy pappardelle are my favorites.
