By far, this is the best place to go for a walk, run, bike , rollerblading , segway...you get the picture. On the south side of the lake , there's some great sculptures that are worth checking out too.
When the weather is good, this is the coolest place to be in Tempe. There's volleyball , places to just hang out with friends, and tons of stuff to do on the lake , including paddleboating and kayaking .
This place is simply amazing! It was very relaxing! My fiancé and I walked along the water and sat in the grassy areas and enjoyed the weather! It is clean and great for strolling, biking , or relaxing
Check out the rentals from the dock. Kayaks and paddle boards are a great way to beat the heat, plus not too pricey ! They even loan you a waterproof pouch for your phones/wallets!
Huge park to walk briskly and relax. Enjoy riding the Bird electric bicycles. Stroll along the lake ; watch ducks. See dead fish floating.
This is a great spot to go for a nice jog or stroll or some AZ water activity. Accessible from the light rail and a close walk to all of what Mill Avenue has to offer. Kayak , paddleboard, boat rentals
Cool down with volleyball next to the lake ! It's 10 degrees cooler by the water and shaded as the sun goes down. Bring a cooler, some tunes and sunscreen !
Great place to go for a run especially at dusk the sunsets are quite the view ! Super clean and well kept. They often host concerts and free events . Students should take advantage.

Great place to run. You can run along the lake and off concrete or you can run on the sidewalk as well . There's mile markers to measure your distance. Friendly place, lots of nice people too. Enjoy!
Fun hangout and also a great venue for concerts and other festivals . Oktoberfest has been a huge hit here and great backdrop being next to the lake
If any event happens here, GO! It is an awesome atmosphere for concerts and especially Oktoberfest !! Tread carefully thought....the seasonal beers there will catch up to you quick!
clean and well-maintained. I sometimes come here to go fishing .here are multiple boat rentals here, so bring cash. Don't miss out on the multiple festivals they hold every year.
Has an amphitheater that holds 5,000 people for concerts or outdoor trade shows! Lovely place during the summer months so many activities for everyone can even rent a boat ride !
Its always fun to jog this area in the morning around 5 a.m. with the lights on the bridges and the water show below very pretty in the morning
Great, clean park which has activities ranging from boat rentals , to playgrounds to a waterfrenzy area. Great for a quick jog, and grassy well kept area. Also hosts concerts and events frequently.
First place I took my family when they came to visit me, from out of town . A little piece of paradise. Calm , relaxing, and a great place to clear your mind.
The water pH balance is off in this water. Each year the city spends thousands to right the balance. Many times there are dead ducks and fish floating in the water. R.I.P Salt River .
Great place to hang out at when its not too hot. The city always has events going on here. Just a great place to be outside and enjoy the great Arizona weather.
This is a pretty popular location for events . If you plan on coming on a weekend or holiday, just double check that there aren't any special events going on. It gets crowded easy.

Here is a great Saturday morning: Hike "A Mountain ", eat some great food at Monti's, and walk around Tempe Beach Park until you no longer need a nap. Then go home and nap anyways.
A great park for enjoying our beautiful AZ weather. Lots of events are held here, and really keeps Tempe alive with community events .
Spring evenings are perfect here!!!!! There are plenty of people running and biking and walking their dogs. They have security on bikes too!!

A nice place to cruise on your longboard after a long day of classes . Many festivals come through and use the beach park as a venue throughout the year including Tempe Music Festival .
