Start with a bowl of clam chowder—white or red, depending on your preference (both are good). The fish and chips is really great. Not greasy at all, just crispy , light, and delicious.
Lobster roll is fresh but rather puny & overdressed with bits o' shell and cartilage sloppily tossed in. But you'll order it anyway 'cos you're a lobster fiend! Fries are good with their lemon aioli
Cioppino originated among Italian-Americans in San Francisco with a mix of whatever the catch of the day is, including Dungeness crab , clams , shrimp , scallops , squid and mussels . Read more
I'd suggest kicking it off with the una tartare for sure! The salads are great as well ! Great quality seafood !
Had the five cheese ravioli with shrimp ,scallops and lobster , one of the best seafood I ever had. Excellent service ,pricey but good food always is. Must go if you are in LA.
Awesome, fresh seafood at the market and, naturally, at the restaurant . Bar seating is first come, first serve. Ample parking in the lot behind the restaurant .
Best place in SM for fresh seafood . Plus their happy hour is a great deal at their little café . Try the poke !
The crab Louie is delicious and very generous with the crab meat ! I've also had one of the best tuna melts here. Add some avocado to it, and it's even more heavenly!
Amazing lobster roll that's full of flavor yet not too heavy. Pair it with a glass of house Chardonnay .
Fresh quality fish market with a set of tables serving excellent and tasty signature dishes. Try to Tuna tartare and Cioppino .
Great seafood selection . I like the ample space to shop around and also being able to find easy street parking nearby.
Have had the salmon burger , oysters , lobster rolls , ciopinno, and all that good stuff but the spicy swordfish sliders got me feelin some type of way. go wild.
Everything is great. My faves are the Shrimp Cocktail , Ahi Tartare , Lobster Roll , Roasted Halibut and Crab Louie . Incredibly fresh and just lightly dressed to bring out the natural flavors. Yum!
The raw bar is nothing short of spectacular: Dive into Dungeness crab ($27) cooked, chilled, cracked and served whole, or Kumamotos and Kusshis dressed with classic lemon wedges Read more
This place has curated the most perfect, little selection of cheeses , sweet spreads, and crackers . Eat here and then shop in the market for them.
Only order fish at a fish place. If they have the orange roughy get that and beets salad . The ceviche he is good and their known for the seafood tower .
Fresh seafood !!! Pan fried Chilean sea bass was great! I wish I could get just grilled fish from the counter.
Fish & Chips will drive you crazy.???? The ice cream sandwich is awesome, try it. ????
Driven by this place a million times and never noticed it. Great food and unexpectedly great atmosphere, too.
Food and market items run a bit on the expensive side but still the freshest seafood in west la and worth every dollar
Oysters , mussels , chowder , salmon burgers and anything else that tastes awesome can be found here! The lobster though, is to die for!
Santa Monica Seafood is the best seafood restaurant in Southern California. Everything is top quality and as fresh as it can be. Highly recommended.
$2 Oyster happy hour from 2-5, M-F. Delicious selection.
Half market deli , half sit down cafe . Fresh seafood !
this place is very nice, the seafood is fresh and tasty and the waiter is very friendly :)
Awesome selection of fresh fish and shellfish for sale! Excellent service .
The Crab Louie Salad and the Grilled Shrimp Panzanella are perfection!
Super fresh seafood , but beware seating is extremely limited. Most of the square footage goes to the market . There’s a first come first serve bar . Hostess was cold and unhelpful.
Refreshing oysters , tasty clam chowder , top tier tuna melt
Still LOVE the cioppino here, but for 2013 the portion is smaller and the price is higher. A double hit.
A one-stop-shop to prep for a great dinner . Best seafood selection , wines , flowers, condiments.
This place has a great oyster bar and small dining area too. The tuna melt on the menu is amazing! On top of that, they sell fresh seafood by the pound. Read more
Super crowded for lunch so go early or late and try the spicy salmon burger ! That and the clam chowder are delicious staples. I’ve heard the lobster is sick here..
Great place before the Broad. Gigantic portions !
Portions are pretty big and the seafood is fresh!
My friend Lynne says, "Kinda an old person restaurant but excellent seafood pasta ."
New England clam chowder with la brea bakery rosemary bred dipped jn garlic infused olive oil . Great meal.
This is THE place to get your seafood when cooking at home.
Ravioli with seafood is a must.
Lobster roll was pretty good... East coast still wins though.
Try the smoked salmon in the deli section .
The swordfish sliders were amazing. Same with the oysters .
