We waited a little bit when we first got there, but it was worth it! The service was speedy once we were seated. A server said people had been eating, then sitting for a long time, hence the wait.

This sushi joint is tasty. I ordered the 4 x 4, also recommend the hot hot shauna and the ninja roll. Very reasonably priced! Tip: get the carafe of plum wine .

Bring coins with you if you plan to dine here during the day before 6pm. Most parking near the area is metered parking , and the patrol people very diligent. 25¢ = 12 minutes.

have a Drink Special (Sapporo and house sake for $5.50). Makes for great sake bombs .

Check out the monthly specials! Plus this is a great place if you have a group of people! They as do take out if you are in a hurry.

If you like octopus try the Takoyaki ! They are a tasty fried rice ball with pieces of octopus ! A traditional Japanese treat????????????

The waiters are not retarted. The sushi is as good as you are going to get for the price. The waiters do the best they csn to accommodate. I am thankful we have someplace like sushi deli .

If you like lemon , order the Hadouken! Deliciously zesty with sweet fish !

Shrimp lovers perfect combo: Navavava Roll & Shrimp Killer Roll. Get a side of spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce to top it all off! Mmmmm.

I LOVE this place!! I don't eat seafood but I love that they have great alternative (non-fish/crab/eel/seafood) rolls. I recommend the Hot Hot Shauna , I'm addicted to those.

Chicken kutzu and the crunchy roll are the bomb get the drink special too to make it a great lunch

They have expanded their space a few months back. Very nice! Worth the revisit if it's been a while.

Been coming here on and off the last 6-7 years or so and their raw fish has never been fresh! Cheap prices though, definitely not a place for sushi snobs

There is always a but if a wait but the cheap prices make up for it. San diego roll and the Verano rolls are my favorite!

Good for getting drunk during happy hour , if you can stand the wait. Decent rolls, not for the sushi connoisseur as it's a little lower grade, but certainly a step up from the grocery store .

Mm tempura udon is so good :) ask for the tempura on the side though. Crunchy rolls are also the best!

Garlic edamame is to die for!!! Best in town

It was alright... There are way too many options for sushi in hillcrest, this is one of the ones towards the bottom of the list ... Imo

The san diego roll is delicious, the whole roll is battered and cooked tempura style. Did I mention the crunchies?!

Anything with spicy mayo is phenom. Rolls are cheap and REALLY GOOD.

Even the miso soup is deep fried. Enough said.

We waited over an hour and when we were seated at 8:45 we were told this was the last call for food. Ouch. There are still a lot of people waiting and I wonder if they will get to eat.
