Lesson learned: don't fly cross-country to check out the Clifton 's renewal. If the byzantine reservation policies don't destroy your visit, the high-attitude yet powerless staff will.
Good things: beautiful bar with fun themed items. Bad things: reservation system, lack of a menu, lack of creative tiki cocktails , uneven service.
Apparently there's a dress code for men - you must wear a collared shirt . This does nothing to add to the theme , and any fool can wear a collar. Nor is this mentioned on their website. Tiki failure.
