National September 11 Memorial

This is a very emotional place, be prepared for lots of intense emotions . The museum takes you through the entire day and mixes displays with media and artifacts in an elegant way.

Beautifully done and powerful memorial to remember the victims who perished in 911 WTO tragedy . Gone are the 2 square towers, in its place 2 hollow square holes with water falling infinitely.

The museum is a must visit attraction in NYC. It takes you back to 9/11/2001 with a lot of details and stories told by witnesses who lived this tragedy .

The informative movies are great and museum is worth seeing. FYI there is no pictures allowed in the in memoriam and historical exhibit . Other than that pictures are allowed.

It’s important to come and pay tribute to the memory of so many lives cut short . Very surreal to be standing at the site where the worst attack on American soil took place. The Memorial is incredible.

The Museum is respectfully awesome. Plan for at least 2 1/2 hours. Must purchase tickets prior to going. Be sure to arrive at the museum 10-15 minutes PRIOR to your entry time.

Do yourself a favor and don't just walk up to the memorial and take a picture. Take a guided tour or something to allow yourself to feel. If you don't want to honor lives lost, stick to Times Square.

See the movies Facing Crisis: America under attack and a Changed World back to back. Also watch rebirth movie in south tower gallery . Historical Exhibit in the north tower is a must see.

Beautiful place and a very touching exhibition inside the 9/11 museum . Don't miss "on the day, before and after" exhibition - we spent about 3 hours there.

A very impressive and even emotional tour around the disasters and victims of 9/11! The audio guide is 8 dollar (!) but did provide extra value and information during the museum tour !

My hotel room overlooks the 9/11 memorial. I worked in the Trade Center years ago and finally got up the courage to walk over. It's wonderful and everyone should visit it to remember and honor.

Snap a picture of a few names around the endless pool and pay tribute by finding their name and picture in the In Memorandum exhibit in the museum and send their picture to the inner chamber.

An overwhelming remembrance of the tragedy that happened, and a celebration of the courage that New Yorkers had coming together to help and support their own. Set aside at least 3 hours to go through.

Warning: you will be overwhelmed with the gravity of September 11 and the horrible history surrounding it. It will make you upset and you will cry. But, you will also feel profound pride in America.

Extremely crowded museum but a must see. Set aside lots of time and do not miss the timeline: the recorded messages, memories, and videos are fascinating and tragic.

Open up your schedule when you plan to come (because you need to). You'll want to spend at LEAST 2.5 hours here to just take everything in. This place is deceivingly ENORMOUS.

Excellent exhibit ! We spent 7 hrs here just looking at things. Tip: there are multiple videos at each station. Don't just watch one!

Reflecting Absence is a mesmerising way to pay tribute to the lives lost on 9-11.The lines for the museum are endless.Fun fact: Calatrava’s Oculus’ skylight retracts once a year on Sep 11 for 102 min.

Beautiful pools outside. It was so serene to see all the names of such courageous Americans. I didn't go inside the visitation center or the Freedom Tower, but they were both awesome looking.

A very emotional exhibit . Anticipate investing at least two hours to truly experience the entire Memorial. There is also a self-guided tour you can download.

A pair of structural tridents from the base of the original 1 WTC tower are visible through the museum 's glass atrium, by the north pool. The pools -- epic in scale and graceful especially after dusk.

Do not rush through this. It will take an hour, two, maybe more for the museum . There is a lot of impact. Be ready for it. Kids should understand and be ready to take some time to explain.

Tuesdays have free entrance after 5. The museum itself is huge and has lots of articles. Closes at 9, i got in at 6 and had to rush through some of the end exhibits .

A very well done museum that chronicles the events of September 11. You feel extremely sad as you walk through it. Admissions are around $20.00 per head. I think it is free on Tuesdays after 5pm

Unbelievable experience for me and my family. Schedule a visit if you can. It will move you. We reserved the 9am Sunday time slot for the museum . I am glad I did.

This memorial was incredible. With lots of artefacts and sound recordings from the day. I had hoped for a more positive ending to the exhibition - but it stays on the tragedy throughout.

This is an emotional place to be. You should go at least once -- everyone should. An important note: if you come here, please DO NOT take selfies in front of the memorials. Thousands died here.

Deep and broad exhibit . Worth doing a walking tour . We listened to the Uncommon Heroes version which was excellently narrated. Well done.

Just get here when it opens and get your tickets day-of to avoid the pain of having to buy new tix in case you have to miss your pre-order time slot.

Take a seat at one of the benches near the Last Column. They have different first hand accounts from volunteers that are so poignant and amazing to listen to through a handheld speaker.

When ticket-booth lines are excessive (ticketed guests go in separate line ) "hidden away" in east edge of piazza are 4 #ticket machines!

People take pictures to remember. No one should forget or be cocky about such a tragic event . It's beautifully done, and the queue moves quickly. Don't complain about the queue; show respect .
