At first this place looks like a regular NYC diner , but don't be fooled - you will want to come here again and again! The avocado toast & pancakes are one of the best in the city !
A neighborhood standby with solid gastropub and American meals. Worthwhile for groups and great brunch menu . Potato pancakes , spinach and eggs - just do it.
Great food. Order lots of appetizers and sides. The main courses are great but a sampling gives you more to try. The tuna tartare / poke (changes seasonally) is incredibly delicious.
Always though of them as brunch/drinks type of place but lunch food proved me otherwise. There are some unexpected items on the menu but you are likely pleasantly surprised if you try
Generous portions of delicious comfort food . Healthy options and nonalcoholic homemade sodas too. Good for families , brunch , and a late meal. Usually a wait. Get the mac & cheese and s'mores in a jar!
Excellent service , great food and cocktails (albeit pricey ), a decent beer list , and a nice location. Outdoor tables on Broadway and a trendy indoor section that is fun but can get a bit loud .
Food is fantastic. The baked pretzel = amazing. The Brussels sprouts are amongst the best I've had. The truffle gnocchi is amazing. Add grilled chicken on top for more protein.
The newest of the 3 Smith restaurants , this one is a welcome addition to the area. We love to start with the potato chips and blue cheese fondue , followed by the lobster roll or roasted chicken salad .
Love the brunch here. Eat outside on a nice day. Very busy. Favorite brunch entree: potato waffles with creamed spinach and poached eggs .
I tried the Fried Oyster , the Crispy Calamari , the Mussels and believe me, everything was AWESOME! I am glad i came here! (The service by Andy was great too)
The Smith makes a mean burger and has excellent cocktails . One of many locations in the city , but this one is perfect for grabbing a bite before catching a movie at the Lincoln Square movie theater .
Best breakfast spot in the Upper West Side:: tried pancakes , eggs Benedict and Ranchero ; all of them were amazing ????
The Smith is an NYC mini-chain, but this is its best location by far. It’s huge, with tons of outdoor seating and a great view of Lincoln Center. Read more
The flatbread had the perfect balance of creamy ricotta & crunchy thin crust . Get the summer flounder - you'll thank me later.
Great place for a quick drink / snack before hitting the ballet (etc) across the street. And nothing says "I'm going to the ballet " like ordering a plate full of delicious MEATBALLS (do it!)
The evening atmosphere was delightful, not too crowded and just enough ambiance to remind you why New York is great. The s’mores dessert was delicious and the burger hit the spot!
Huge back area, spotty service but American classic menu. Skip ceviche bathed in oil $11. Get side of sautéed garlic spinach $7 and mushroom omelet $16 for brunch .
Portobello fries & spicy dip , deviled eggs , lobster salad w buttermilk dressing & trout schnitzel on cauliflower . Expect poor service, crowds & noise but tasty food.
Have been here a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. Things to try: tempura green beans , jalapeño cheese grits , filet, roasted chicken , shrimp and grits entree. And save room for dessert !
Pastas are great!! Cocktail are awesome. The burger is tasty, but the bun makes it hard to it because it's not soft bread is more like a chewy brioche . Anyway, if You are in good company it's awesome!
Their lobster roll is really fresh and their black pasta with shrimp is really nice as well ! Nice and quick staff . Sat outside and enjoyed the view of the opera.
Not a ton of vegan options , but I got the avocado toast and it was perfect! Adorable inside. Make a reservation .
Although the place is pretty crowded the staff is super friendly ! And the breakfast borrito is gf which is a plus for me ????
Tuesday are divine days at The Smith! The short rib on mushroom risotto is amazing! ????
Delicious house made sodas ! And the steak salad was fantastic. I have some very specific food sensitivities & they were amazingly accommodating. Loved the ambiance & warmth.
All the smiths are good. The new Lincoln square location has the best (biggest) menu. The village location is the best date scene (food) the midtown location is the best for first date drinks
Come in hungry because portions are big. Mac n cheese was decadent and the salmon was just perfect. Shrimp cocktail was rather flavorless. Service is attentive and polite.
The salmon tartare appetizer , the gnocchi , and the salmon entree were all very tasty! The gnocchi dish was quite small for an entree. The atmosphere is really nice.
My second time here. Always good attendance and tasty food. Try their avocado toast at Saturday brunch .
This place is the perfect brunch spot on a sunny day. My hot date and I were seated immediately at the perfect table outside . The pancakes with the salted caramel syrup are delicious.
The Smith eggs Benedict was insanely delicious! Very nice interior, and staff was friendly (they didn't seem to mind that I had just come in post run).
Lovely and warm interior. Very popular especially on holidays. Make reservations in advance or expect a very long queue. Recommended for brunch .
Great for brunch and also a nice late night dinner spot when the crowds have died down. Solid cocktails . Don't miss the burrata starter, trust me.
Reliable spot and they always accept walk-ins. All their salads are quite tasty and so are their raw fish appetizers . Good for people watching on Lincoln Square.
Liked everything I tried - burrata , grilled shrimp , hummus and “The Gatsby” - pretty good cocktail for some warm weather day time drinking !
We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly forgotten about. A ton of walk-ins were seated before us and after 30 mins they finally remembered us. The mushroom omelet was delicious, though.
baked pretzel , shrimp and grits , and the smores in a jar were all outstanding. drink wise: the cucumber margarita or french 75 are worth the calorie splurge.
If brunching , get an order of the donuts to start but avoid the breakfast pot pie as it is more of a breakfast pot soup . Waffles and BLT tho are ????????
One of my go to spots in the city . Can't go wrong with delicious, quality food and service. Not to mention a great craft beer selection .
My family visiting during November enjoyed our meal at this beautiful space with tasty food & informative staff . Perfect pre-theatre or post.
A bit overpriced b/c of the area but overall great food. Calamari is served with marinara on top so if you like to keep yo squid crunchy, ask for it on the side. Mussels sauce is heavy but delicious.
I had been dying to eat at the smith since I moved to NYC. I had the tuna tartare & the fried oyster BLT slider with a pink pussycat to drink. Everything was delicious, but our server was SO RUDE.
The food is amazing! Filet, Brussel sprouts , sliders , fried calamari were my favs. Double trouble was a great drink. Pricey though.
great more casual place to have a business meeting that's close to columbus circle! for breakfast , get the avocado toast and a latte
Incredibly friendly staff . Everything here is good - I love the Sicilian baked eggs for brunch . And don't miss the kale salad !
Amazing burger , wonderful attentive but unintrucive service and great homemade sodas ! Lovely bright atmosphere when I was here in the afternoon
they’ve changed the menu couple times, the new tuna tartare with dijon is really good. as is the burger w bacon jam and pickles .
Very nice atmosphere, good service ,great beef ragu though a little bit spicy so watch out if you are not too crazy about spicy food
Like everyone says: Mac & cheese , avocado toast and s'mores in a jar: fantastic! Great service, vibe, noisy energy -perfect
Overhyped but overall a wonderful brunch spot the caramel on these pancakes was sour and overpowering sadly but perfect cook on them
Fantastic place for brunch! Sit outside of the weather is nice. Lemon cream puffs are to die for! - Paula Davis
Lamb burger and rigatoni are amazing! Splurge for the poached egg on top. - Kris Kelley
The buckets of beer are a good deal. They also have decent wine options and great food for a sports bar. Enjoy! - SmartBarCrawls
I like this theater. Lots of options, comfortable seats. Popular movies get sold out so make sure to book in advance. - I K
Coat check available on lower level. Coffee and snacks sold on this level as well. Credit cards accepted. - Grace Ladyecua
Great park to walk and bike. Enjoyable. Always something going on. Kayak, merry go round, zoo, concerts, playground - Angi W
