I only had rolls here but they were all too wide to eat with chopsticks except Green Machine which happened to be the best roll there. The salmon cream cheese was delightful also.
O. MA. KA. SE. Let the highly competent chefs from Japan, the US and Thailand be your guides on a proper nigiri and sashimi journey of the house sustainable seafood philosophy. Perfect in all ways.
Nice atmosphere, appropriate portion and the seafood is fresh! The rolls are rather well priced and chirashi bowl is a great treat if you want a lil bit of everything of fish w rice . Recommended!
super busy so get there early or make a res, good miso and soy beans , salmon sun rise is good, chasing dragon roll is too large and dry and the pork dumpling with cherry tapenade very odd combo
I had the best experience here-- very informative waiters , fresh sushi & a variety of options. Can't wait to come back. (The "green machine " roll is great)
Super fresh fish & great flavor combos. Really loved the miso eggplant , albacore crispy rice , and salmon sunrise. Tuna poke was great too if you want something a bit bigger
Tuna poke over cucumber and avocado with sweet and spicy soy dressing $12. Skip miso eggplant that has no or little eggplant $6. Hip funky spot. Expect to wait even for bar seat .
Loved this place. We had sushi , chirashi bowl and black cod abd everything was delicious! Spicy ice cream and whiskey pudding are also worth it! Recommended!
Sit at the sushi bar and go for Omakase / they can tailor the quantity to how hungry you are, but it does come out all at once.

Great service, amazing sushi...and they take RESERVATIONS! Get the Green Machine with albacore . It might change your life!
Not sure what to get? Try the Chef 's Omakase , or "I'll leave it up to you." Best way to try a variety of sushi , including some items that may not be on the menu.

Beautiful and delicious sushi plates. Great service!
Brush up on your Japanese in the restroom . Instead of music , Japanese lessons play.
The Planthouse is an amazing vegetarian sushi roll on the menu.
Miso black cod for the win! Sooooo good!!!
The chefs are very friendly . Just order omakase .
Expensive - if you want authentic Japanese sushi in Portand go to Murata or if you want cheap sushi at 1/2 the price go to Marinepolis nearby
Sashimi was great. Maki rolls were subpar
Good vegetarian options .
Sushi ???? is fresh and amazing
Great sushi , but I paid $6.50 for a 12oz Vaporizor.
Complimentary edamame was a nice touch!
Get the Tuna/Salmon Poke Bowl
