Kaya toast set. Ah Chye Coffee #01-01 offers the full works. Kopi was strong & smooth. Kaya in the toast lacked fragrance. Soft-boiled eggs are cracked for u. Individually priced, this combo $3.20
Two-storey market , with the upper floor having a mix of wet (butchers ) & dry stalls. Access via a lift or stairs (at the back). Public toilets on level 2 are less used, drier & hence cleaner
Hakka Yong Tau Foo ($4.50). Enjoyed a hot bowl of noodles from Kar Sou #01-04. Tasty YTF items & soup . Chilli sauce packed some punch too
Roti prata . Good stuff fr Rahmath Cheese Prata #01-08. Freshly-made prata was crispy & chewy. They serve mutton curry as a standard. Makansutra gave the stall 2.5 chopsticks out of 3
Wantan noodles from 萬利興 Wan Li Xin Noodles #01-02. Highlight were the wantans: flavourful w strong hints of minced prawn . A basic serving
Dimsum : Tried lo mai gai (glutinous rice in lotus leaf ) & siew mai (steamed pork dumpling ) fr #01-03. Generous 'liao' (filling). Siew mai was d size of half an adult fist! Also serve other bfast fare
Freshly made fishballs and Yong Tau Foo with fish paste stuffing can be found at #01-18
The residents must love their seafood . At this count, there were 11 stalls selling fresh fish
Kaya toast set $3.30 from Hong Dali #01-07. Not as refined as Ah Chye #01-01: soft-boiled eggs were too cooked. Kaya was overly sweet
Local coffee (kopi). Very smooth cuppa from 洪大利 Hong Da Li #01-07. Bitter & aromatic????????
Breakfast bee hoon . Average serving from Economic Bee Hoon #01-10 (stall has no name), despite displaying past recognition. Noodles was cold. Fried chicken wing was crispy . $3.10 for this combo
There’s a water cooler at the middle row of stalls, next to wash basins
Meng Kee Hot & Cold Drinks at #01-09, coffee such big cup only $0.80. Really worth...
There is a shop that sells vegetables at nearby Blk 66

Kaya toast. They use the traditional thick bread slices. Kaya spread lacks sweet fragrance - Cheen The Curious
The prata and apom are really good. They use high quality ghee to make prata and that make the prata so nice. The apom is truly out of the word of tasty. - Torzin S
The fried glutinous rice is awesome, porridge as well. Affordable price and delicious food - Brendan Lau Sie Sheng
Katong laksa has a good flavor and unique mixed. Must try!! - Jeffrey Ning

Quiet corners: Plenty of peaceful (& shaded) seats within the Sensory Gdn itself, to meditate & even read a book. It's far enough from main road. Come b4 evening playtime for optimal tranquility - Cheen The Curious
