Cape Florida Lighthouse

Today Was a super hot and sunny day but we enjoy the beautiful views . if you’re coming only for the lighthouse I recommend you to park in the first parking lot that way you don’t have to walk too much

The recently renovated lighthouse is a great place to visit! Amazing views of Key Biscayne and the Miami skyline. Very small so they only let a few visitors up at a time. Leave a donation!

This lighthouse , completed in 1825 and rebuilt in 1846 after being damaged during the Second Seminole War, is Miami-Dade’s oldest standing structure .

At the end of Key Biscayne, this State Park has miles of beach , picnic area and a the lighthouse . Go early and leave early, if you are go are going on the weekends to avoid traffic on the causeway.

Make sure to get a lighthouse passport and get it stamped at each lighthouse you visit! Bring water. Very hot!

Beautiful views of Miami from the top of the lighthouse . It's crowded though and you only get 5 minutes at the top.

The more than one mile stretch of beach at Bill Baggs, Cape Florida State Park , is currently ranked one of the "Top 10 beaches in America. Go early and leave early to avoid crowds and traffic.

This state park is beautiful because it leads directly to the beach . The ocean there is transparent most of the time and yo have to remember to brink a snorkel and mask because you can go snorkeling !

Today Cape Florida lighthouse is a tranquil landmark , but in 1836 it was attacked by Seminole Indians. Hiding at the top, the keeper defended the tower by burning its interior wooden steps.

Cleanest and prettiest public beach in Key Biscayne. Go early to beat the lines at the entrance.

Lighthouse tours are available on select days, offering you the option to ascend up the 192 steps to the top.

A walk here from the Ritz is about an hour along the beach . You can stay on the beach the entire time ... even at high tide.

The Cape Florida Lighthouse is a great photo opportunity for visitors.

Go upstairs ...it's worth the effort , cool view ????

There are free tours starting at 10am or 1pm to have a look inside Miami's oldest lighthouse . The view from the top is beautiful!

Take the nature path to the far end of the peninsula. The views of the water are breathtaking!

It's a long climb to the top but the view is worth the climb!

Cool lighthouse

Didn’t get to go up due to weather but, there didn’t look like there was much to it. Would try again though.

Ir en bici desde Downtown Miami, es una ruta muy bonita, merece la pena!
