The Melkweg is one of the most well-known cultural centres within and outside the Netherlands, and is unique because of a programme that unites five artistic disciplines under one roof: music, dance/theatre, film, photography and media art.

A great place to see international and national bands and acts live. The last couple of years the program got a bit cheesy. But still check the line up or you will miss that one great show!
Great convert venue, small and cosy, you almost feel as though you are sat in The stage. Good acustics and free Wi-Fi!get a spot upstairs for a verter view !
People will tell you Paradiso is better, but Melkweg has its dirty charm, like watching Oliver Twist. We saw John Grant, who shone like a beacon, revealing lots of beardy recesses filled with beer .
If you like loud music check out the calendar! Mostly punk/metal/hardcore concerts . Great place ????
Good for concerts , plenty of bars around the venue and a spacious upstairs area with a smoking room. Free wifi too ☺️
Diversity within the agenda. I behold a special place in my heart for this great venue. Supports newish artists . Only tip: work on the lighting on the stage, don't overuse it.
Very powerful club. Make sure you reach there nice and early to avoid disappointment. The techno tribe Tuesdays is the best one to attend.
De Melkweg – or Milky Way – has a long reputation as a live venue and will never let you down. A must-see on your night out in Amsterdam!
If you want an easygoing crowd, then Melkweg is the place for you, whether you see a band or not. That said, the ‘up-close and personal’ nature of the place makes any live show here worth seeing. Read more
Great concert of Jonathan Jerimia! Saw Jim last year in Paradiso and this time even better and the man himself: so relaxed! Perfect performance !
Acoustic is ok, not the best but not bad at all, but as it's a small place, be aware that crowd talking can get annoying sometimes as the bar is too close from the stage.
One of the best music venues in Amsterdam .
Whether you're a rocker, hip-hopper or raver, there's always something to do here, for everyone's taste. Friendly and helpful staff and security. Coat check is quick and cheap .
Great place for concerts and party's. Not too big, good acoustic .
Love the small concert hall . The big (‘the max’) isn't too suitable for tiny people I'm afraid. ????
Every show the sound is amazing! Really good venue for rock shows!
Whenever there's a surfband attending De Melkweg, our friends over there ask us to come and play. Did 8 shows there and are planning the next one for spring 2011. We love this place!
In the "Oude zaal ", make sure you're either in front or upstairs. It gets very hot underneeth the 2nd floor
Great venue with multiple concert halls and good music .
The hip hop photo exhibit is very good!
Busiest on Thur--Sat, but check the website to see what’s happening every night. Big-name bands sometimes play earlier in the week. Come early when you go to a concert and make sure you are in front of the crowd. Otherwise you will hardly see a thing.
Hot spot for good quality A'dam nightlife incld. really nice concerts ..
Intimate venue with great line up
It was so nice place with awful music ! The prices are high inside and I had to pay 20 euros as entrance fees!! If you like hip hop and R&P music , it's is not the right place
Offers a program that unites five artisctic disciplines under one roof: dance/theatre, film , photography , and media art .
My favourite concert venue in Amsterdam !
Visit the free photography art gallery (entrance Marnixstraat side!) Read more
Make sure you take €4 for the "membership" to get in even though you already have a concert ticket.
Is not my favourite venue in Amsterdam for a concert (the acoustic is pretty awful) but you can see great artist in here.
Most common concert hall of amsterdam. Very good performance
Free wifi ! Get a membership when you order your ticket online.
Really nice venue, as already said always something great coming up of lots of different genres. Looking forward to a visit during upcoming ADE! Read more
One of my favourite venues !
One of Amsterdam's best concert venues .
Melkweg is more than a pop venue! Be sure to check out its theatre performances and photo exhibitions , or simply catch a movie .
Go after the entrance to the right and go upstairs, you will find a nice little bar where you can have a nice chat.
Tremonti being awesome tremonti @melkweg 17-6-2015.
Techno Tuesday is (so) real.
well respected concert hall . similar to paradiso
Was there for Dekmantel - Nice Place for concerts ;)
The other legendary club in A'dam. The Milky way also has a theater and cinema .
I didn't like this place too much. In one room it was only Hiphop , not the good one and in the other room there was a bad coverband playing. But they sell awesome chicken sandwiches !
Nice club, but small.
Beautiful place
Better choise in beers that Paradiso .
Cool place :-)
19.11.2015 The Neighbourhood overhere and my heart attack <3
Local people is here ????
Great place for partying.
Interesting series of rarely seen and more obscure film agenda. - Amsterdam Magazine
Excellent sound and beautiful architecture, but desperately needs a good ventilation system. It can get extremely hot and stuffy. - Δάφνη Ρακούν
Very intimate and cozy concert atmosphere. Would recommend. Show up on time - Sean Dao
They have it all here, markets, beach, bar! Very industrial and casual vibe, highly recommended. - Matthijs
Good place for a coffee and some people-spotting in daytime, or a beer and friendly chats in the evening. - Tommie Nordholm
Wonderful place for a quick meal.. situated at the right location.. options for vegetarians as well.. must try - Cheese 88
Nice and classic Irish Pub in the center of Leidseplein. Free wi-fi. But surely no place for malt fans. They only have Bushmill's. No Talisker, Lagavulin, Macallan or Bowmore. Stuff are friendly. - Ozan Vural
