Really nice museum . Some exhibitions like medieval battle room have impressive atmosphere. And of course, attractions for kids. Not many, but after visit here my 4 yo asked a bow for the Christmas :D
A wonderful collection of Swedish artefacts through the ages. Give yourself a few hours to truly enjoy everything. Free entry on national day!
Very good museum with a lot of Swedish history to discover! Very good audio guides and many fascinating pieces from the nordic history from each epoch.
This Museum of National Antiquities has impressive collections from as early as the Stone Age and lots of great Viking historical items. Don't miss the Gold Room and the amazing Textile Chamber.
Audio guide is inexpensive and you can use your own mobile phone which is nice. They don't accept Amex though
Just love this museum , everytime I was in stockholm I will visit there.
Focus is mainly on vikings and medival history. You'll find some of the worlds most famous vikinga treasures and findings here.
Little sign of remorse for the slaughtered Englishmen, destroyed monasteries , or burnt manuscripts. If you drill down on the electronic displays, you can find some actual information.
Very interesting museum . You will learn a lot about Swedish history . The Viking part is remarkable.
good place for a lunch ,or cafe ,food was not bad and pretty Scandinavianish, and the enviroment was quite good.the price is relativly low,too
Free entrance! One of the weirdest museum I've visited, but nicely weird. Good vikings exposition .
Nice exhibition about the Life of Vikings, they say it’s the biggest in the world.
Quite big museum where you can learn about Swedish history and their advances over time. The vikings area is pretty weak though
The printed captions in The Viking World are largely editorials on how evil the (fairly normal) Nordic class system was.
Love it here!!! Also, its free. Totally worth it.
Lots of interesting information! Take at least one hour to read and understand everything!
Swedish history , the viking and prehistoric sections are top notch; don't forget the treasury below;
Very good museum . Plenty of things to read and do. Will definitely come back.
Excellent museum , with clever and playful interpretation. Really good for kids too.
Free audiotour on your smartphone. Just make sure you start at the right point of the Viking exposition .
So much fun at the outdoor exhibit with Viking games, cooking, and crafts!
The audioguide app often does not match up the exhibit . Get the museum one or learn Swedish.
Remarkably bad explanatory text — sociological screeds without giving even the dates of the artifacts , nor telling which are replicas and which original.
Interesting and certainly worth a stop but a but jumbled from a curatorial POV.
Free and with a big collection!
At Historiska the restaurant , Rosengården (The Rose Garden ), serves their own, very special, red and white "ecowine" from the north of Spain.
One must know ones past to understand the present. This place is full of history
One of the best museums in Stockholm.
You can have your picnic at the picnic room.
Free admission on Fridays all ages
Great viking exhibition , especially for kids
The Gold Room at Historiska contains breathtaking treasures of gold and silver, some of them thousands of years old...
