Yesterday, I was here to honor the ten members of the FDNY who died on active duty this past year. NYC's Bravest have our undying respect and thanks.

FDNY

Firefighter's Memorial (1912) honors all those who died in the line of duty. Every October the FDNY holds its Memorial Day ceremony at this site, remembering all active members who died that year.

The allegorical 1913 sculpture represents “Duty” and “Sacrifice.” Don't miss the marker for FDNY horses, located in front of the fountain .
