The place is lovely, whether you go for a run in the morning or a walk in the evening, with trees and greenery all over. When walking, you come across a host of welcoming puppies.

Huge park and great view of the Hudson River across to New Jersey. I’ve been walking 10k+ steps per day at this park every day this week, it’s my own 31 day challenge.
Enter the park from 83rd st. and climb the rock to the right. This is where E.A. Poe used to sit & look at the Hudson. True, you can't see the river from that spot anymore (trees ) but who cares? Poe!
Sunset in this park is absolutely fantastic! Nice park to walk with your dog, running or biking .
All the blooming trees in spring make this park the most beautiful walk. It's quiet , peaceful and you can catch views of the Hudson.
The conclave at riverside park is an iconic spot from 70s movie "the warriors" Its where all the gangs meet at the start and where cyrus gets shot
The new piers at 125th are spectacular, especially at night. It's amazing to see the transformation of this are, made evident in part by the fact that my friend and I even felt comfortable at night
Best, prettiest, and easiest route for bike commutes downtown - Traffic drives/parks in the bike lanes on UES/UWS, and Central Park is full of bored racist cops
This is where the fight with the Baseball Furies takes place. Look for the Firefighters Memorial that they run past (You can also find where they shot the movie version of big meeting in this park .)

Stunning sunsets , beautifully constructed . Amazing to cool down on hot days because of the wind.
A four mile stretch along the waterfront , great for marathon training if you run down and into Battery Park at the bottom of the island , and then up the East River Path in a loop.

Took a bike ride from 148th street to battery park . Very relaxing, crowded during the weekend.
