Colossus held the record, when it opened in 2002, for the first rollercoaster to have ten inversions until The Smiler, at Alton Towers, opened in 2013, which has fourteen.
Colossus was actually the first roller coast I've ever been on and I have to say that it is definitely a good starter, but I did hurt my head on it. Due to there being no head padding.
Prepare for a very long/tiring que when there is only one coaster available. In spite of that, the ride was exceptional:)
This ride never gets old. Still my favourite. Well worth the queue, and just as good as it's always been!
Seriously, take the hit and queue for the front. It makes a helluva difference when you look up THAT corkscrew...
Keep your head back if you're tall or forward if small! It throws you around quite a lot and the restraints are not soft!
Came here 12 years ago and the ride is still as thrilling.
It's a good roller-coaster, may be too rattly for some.
Pack a paracetamol for after.
