driving with the "speed"-ferry from Manhattan to Williamsburg is an experience on its own. I always take tourists on a ride and they love it too...
I love taking the ferry when the weather is nice, cool way to get between Manhattan and Brooklyn
Way faster and more reliable than taking the subway between Manhattan and Greenpoint, Dumbo, etc
Tickets are one-way but allow for transfers between ferry’s within a time-specified limit. Very cool!
Best way to get around when it’s nice out. Cost the same as a subway but the views and air are much nicer. Download the NYC Ferry app to view schedules and buy your tickets in advance.
NYWaterway app crashes every single time I try to buy a ticket or enter payment info. Just use it for the schedule . The on-site kiosk is easy enough and more trustworthy.
This is actually a really beautiful ferry ride. You can see both Manhattan, Harlem, LI City - Queens, Randall's Island and like 5 different bridges .
Download the app "NYWaterway "and you'll be able to see schedules and buy tickets directly from your phone.
It’s fast and nice cuz you are on the open sea
A great way to get around a see the city . The logistics of using it have a bit of a learning curve.
Best ferry stop in Manhattan. There's always another ferry pulling in.
Way faster than the subway and the same price!
$2.75 one way ride, much better than previously!!! Concessions and beer for sale and WiFi are all great features on the boat... quite fast ride across the river to BK!
The quickest way to Williamsburg if you time it well , first stop is close to PS 1
Gets me to and from Governors Ball every year, so it's good for that.
ERF is very punctual. Be sure to purchase tickets before boarding.
Pay close attention to what the staff is saying if your route isn't the end of the line . It can be a bit confusing otherwise.
You don’t have to be going anywhere to enjoy the view from here!
Daily stop for the ferry to/from Williamsburg . Love it
It's a good option to travel from Brooklyn to Manhattan.
Beautiful way to commute
Ferrying at night in early fall with Jeanne;-)!
The best method of transport to the Gov Ball music festival
Staff are very friendly .
Great way to enjoy The river .
So convenient when trying to get to LIC and Williamsburg ....
Don't activate your app tickets too early. Only good for one hour once activated.
Check out the NY Waterway APP! Digital ticketing, online schedules and MORE! http://www.nywaterway.com/MobileAppDownloads.aspx
Try the Ferries !!!!!!!!!
There is a Citibike station here.
Don't trust the ferry schedule .
Looking for on-schedule service? You're better off trying the heli pad downstream.
You can pay $4 cash on board
Take this baby to LIC and visit @AlewifeNYC on 51st st

On the ferry to Randall's island . Slowest ferry ever.
Dress warmly during the winter months. The cold wind off the East River makes the temperature drop by 5-10 degrees. Protip :: use the app to time your arrival to the ferry. - Cooper Smith
Be sure to get the app to more easily buy tickets and the real-time ferry schedule! - Heather Beck
Best way to commute to the city, rain or shine! Not packed, pretty quick and amazing views! They have a little bus to take you around midtown! Not needed if you go downtown. - Andrea Barrezueta
