The best $4 you can spend to commute from Greepoint/Williamsburg to Downtown Manhattan. Absolutely breathtaking views . Have a nice trip! :)
Use the app to buy your ticket with a card--for some reason they want to charge you an extra $1 to get a ticket on board with a card. They will let you board and use your phone to buy it, too.
Cool and stress-free way to see NYC. Never crossed two bridges these fast - Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge . Been in the Big Apple since the eighties but this is my first ferry tour !
If you can look past the black smoke over the water, it's the best way to go to and from L.I.C., Greenpoint, Williamsburg , Brooklyn Bridge Park in DUMBO , South Street Seaport, and Governor's Island .
The best way to get over the east river to Greenpoint, Brooklyn and even Dumbo . You even get amazing skyline views of Manhattan
What better way to enjoy the views of Midtown and Lower Manhattan on a sunny day than from a boat on the East River ?
By creating a reliable, affordable ferry service on the East River , residents have a sustainable transportation alternative to travel around the city .
Introduced in June, 2011, the ferry costs $4 each way and sets sail every 20 minutes. Take a quick, scenic ride to Long Island City (only five minutes away) or to Brooklyn and back.
One of our great services on the East River ! We have several locations! You can even do a transfer at Pier 11, and make your way up the Hudson!
Get the app to avoid lines for the ticket. Wait until you see the boat to activate the ticket.
Tourist tip: a cheap & fast way into Brooklyn - with a lovely view of Manhattan!

If you don't know where you are going, pay attention rather than yelling at the poor ferry workers when you miss your stop ;)
Download the NY Waterway app and get your tickets on your phone.
Service is VERY unreliable so don't count on the ferry when you're rushed. But when it works the ride is smooth & efficient.
