One of my favorite restaurants in Chicago, and definitely the best French one here (since Il Sardine closed). Lots of gems in that wine list , and the mussels were incredible.
Bouillabaisse is orgasmic, literally. Great Rhone wines . Always a great place to celebrate and indulge in the wonders of French cuisine . It's just like when I lived in Grenoble! Bon apetit mes amis.
French onion soup is rich and generously-portioned. Mussels are fresh and served in a buttery cream sauce . Mac and cheese side is also served very creamy. Very much feels like a quaint French cafe .
Garlic-and-thyme-scented roast chicken , a bountiful bouillabaisse , and steak paired with irresistible frites make for great entrees. Cozy quarters and congenial staff add extra appeal. Read more

Le Steak Frites! ;-)
Amazing food. Enjoy a cocktail and then each option for dinner, soup, appetizers, trout was amazing and were the other entrees. Reasonable prices for phenomenal cuisine. - Debra Jackson
There isn’t a bad thing on the menu, but if we had to limit ourselves, we’d go with onion soup, mussels steamed in Belgian ale, roasted chicken and pan-seared hanger steak flanked by amazing frites. - Time Out Chicago
Food and service are fantastic. Menu is incredible. My only complaint is that the tables are too close together. - Chris Shackleton
Great rotating beer menu and chill staff make it easy to hang here for hours. - tankboy
My go-to when I want a great drink at a reasonable price in a bar with low levels of pretension. - Chicagoist
Cheap, well-made cocktails, a cool staff, and great music (especially soul night on the first Wednesday of the month). They only take cash and there's not a TV in the joint. - Diego Rufo
