Spent some time in this Intelligentsia in The Loop which gives off the feel of an Italian Espresso Bar . Great coffee and knowledgeable baristas of course. Known as the Monadnock location.

This coffee shop is nestled in the base of a building just a couple of blocks off Michigan Avenue. Take a break from the cold and grab a cappuccino !

I love any intelligentsia location and while this one is a bit small and can have some pretty long lines , it's much less packed than the other Loop location on Randolph .

Starbucks this is not, but that is why it is great. Drinks are carefully made. The cappachinos are ever so nice with a beautiful design in the foam.

Nice small coffee spot , try their filter coffee and yummie walnut cookie !

The Chai latte is one of the best I tasted in Chicago, if you want some different to coffee , this is the choice.

If getting my meticulously poured traditional cappuccino from a charming barista in a bowtie is wrong, then I don't want to be right.

Easily some of the best coffee you'll find in Chicago. Period. Great selection if their own roasts as well , all with recent roast dates!

Totally deserves its fame! Super cappuccino and espresso ! I am an Italian and I know a couple of things about good coffee ;-)

It is a great place , nice ambiance with a great cafe . It is a little pricy

Try the Sencha - it's different to the normal green tea you can find around here.

Great coffee . But noisy : marble and hard furnishings make it acoustically less pleasant than the far quieter branch on E Randolph .

Wow. Intelligentsia is the Maybach to Starbuck's Cadillac. Go for the individual drip.They don't have wifi , but you may be able to get the signal from Union League Club next door.

This location is now open on weekends, and isn't usually nearly as crowded as the Millennium Park location.

I guess this is the only independent coffee shop that you can find in the Loop.

I just found out that they have hot chocolate ! It's not on the menu for some reason but it should be.

Ordering can be tricky for first-timers. No matter what you're getting, place your order with the barista to the right, behind the espresso machine, then move left to the cashier .

Quite possibly the best espresso in the country ! My barista pulled a test shot, tasted it, made adjustments, and pulled mine. Amazing!
