Willis tower is a Chicago must see. Breathtaking architecture and the sky deck is an amazing view of the city . Take time to read facts on walls while in line for the sky deck . Watch movie too.
An architectural marvel, the tower formerly known as Sears, is one of the tallest skyscrapers in the world. A must visit when in Chicago.
The view from the 103rd floor is breath taking. It's well worth the price of admission. I went late (7:30pm) and saw the twilight skyline and the night view was spectacular.
Awesome spot, not just for tourists . Be prepared to spend 2 1/2 hours in line if you don't pre-buy your tickets. Thousands of people visit daily. The plexiglass ledge is a must do!
Known for the glass floor and the beautiful view of Chicago. If you have the Go Chicago pass or city pass, you can cut your time in half during a busy day.
Take the ear-popping ride to the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower (né the Sears Tower ) to get to Skydeck Chicago, where on a clear day you can see as far as Michigan, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Read more
As a native Chicagoan this will always be Sears Tower . Check out observary deck and step onto outer glass for a cool view down
Will always be known as Sears Tower to me. Go up-top the tallest building in the US, to the 110th floor and Skydeck . Will you walk on the ledge? See several states from above.
"The Willis Tower used to be known as The Sears Tower . They changed the name after people kept showing up in the lobby trying to buy washing machine and ratchet sets." - Conan O'Brien
Nice for first time visitors of Chicago with the highlights of Chicago before going to the skydeck . Also nice photo op on the sky ledge
Definitely get the fast pass! You do not have to stay in a line that long for so many hours!
1,451 feet tall. If you're brave enough, the skydeck is amazing. You literally feel like you're floating on top of the world. For more stories mentioning the Willis Tower, go to http://trib.in/ogoEOZ
Such a weird feeling to stand only on the glass at the 103rd floor . But the view is awesome, amazing, wonderful, magnificant and it comes to handy to wait on the line for about 1 hour and enjoy it
This is a must see and a must take a selfie Chicago offering. the observation sky deck allows you to gaze upon a beautiful vistas of Chicago. You'll learn about Chicago's history and architecture too!
Simply cannot miss the night view here with the glass floor! But have to come a little bit earlier before the sunset as too many people here. Ling queue better get the pass to avoid the queuing time!
Go to the Sears Tower (real Chicagoans will ALWAYS call it that) and go up to The Ledge on the 103rd floor and get a fantastic photo taken by an awesome employee from Photogenic!
This is still the Sears Tower to many Chicagoans. Call it that to feel like a local and avoid awkward stares, until you add ketchup to your hot dog .
Will always be the Sears Tower to me too! The glass ledges are amazing! You have to go out on them and get your picture taken!
Beautiful building but such a long wait on weekends. Definitely plan to go at a non-peak time if you don't want to wait 2-3 hours. We decided to walk around the city instead
Enterance to the Skydeck is on Jackson. Go on a weekday to avoid crowds.
Get here early to avoid the worst waits. Clear day a must if you wanna see the four States from the Skydeck . Swallow your fear of heights and step out onto The Ledge. Pics or it didn't happen!
The observation deck has knee-high exhibits , like coloring sheets, a scavenger hunt to see who can spy the most landmarks , and 4 retractable glass-bottom balconies 4.3 feet off the building's edge Read more
go towards the end of the evening on a weekday: we were there 830p on a thursday and there were no lines . as scary as it is, standing out in the glass ledge makes for a great photo, esp at night
Be patient to wait in the lines and take your best photo, enjoy it :)
Formerly known as the Sears Tower , it remains the tallest completed skyscraper in the United States , at an architectural height of 1,451 feet (442 m). Designed by SOM, it was completed in 1974.
Observation deck was crowded and the "skyfloor" glass cubes require a 30 minute wait in the line . Make sure to book tickets online to skip the lineup at the ticket counter.
Willis beats the pants off Sears for the lobby art collection . Also caffeine stations & wifi on 3/4 corners although they close early. The art adds. Quiet enough & stately for informal meetings .
pretty cool! if you go on a weekend, the professional photo line for the ledge is the fastest line (and they'll use your camera if you ask nicely). You don't have to buy the photos.
I worked in the Willis Tower when it was known as the Sears Tower . I worked for UniCare and sat on the 29th floor. I used to love how the elevators were always off balance or how the windows moved.
This is a must visit - great views of Chicago ... Love the Skydeck . You get to stand on glass and look down at the toy cars... It's a crazy feeling.
If you're going to do only one thing here, please let it be the glass balconies ... unless you're terrified of heights. A great view of the city and an excellent photo-op.
Must see attraction in Chicago. 103 floors above the city . Has the best view of Chi-Town.
Of course it's a must do. Interesting history about the construction . Do a handstand on the ledge.
A series of magnificently scary glass boxes, collectively known as the Ledge, is attached to the venerable Skydeck , where you’ll feel like you’re standing unsupported 103 stories above the ground. Read more
Just like Sox Park will always be Sox Park this will always be the Sears Tower . Welcome and enjoy the View !
They should actually accept visitors per reservation . If you are planning to visit the other four Chicago sites, a city pass would be useful.
The line may be long but it moves pretty quickly...there are 3 gift shops starting with the one on the sky deck floor
Tourists : be aware that for many days it is a Bad Idea to go to the skydeck because it will be too cloudy to see anything. Nice patio for eating lunch on the south east side of the building.
Stop by and see the artwork,it is a hidden gem and it's quiet
On the MUST See list of things to see in Chicago... Even on a "no viz" day, we had FUN going to the top and back. MILITARY GET IN FREE!!!!!
It's $18 to the top here at the famous Sear's Tower. Did you know the building was designed based on the concept of a pack of cigarettes? You'll hear all about it inside!
If you might buy a souvenir photo, don't wear green or you might look like a floating head. The picture is taken in front of a green wall & then an image of the city is added wherever it has green.
Unless you have a few hours to waste waiting on a line ....spend the extra money and buy a quick pass and take the elvevator immediately to the top!
A definite must see if you visit Chicago. A one of a kind experience! Will be back.
Not worth $22+3h of waiting. Don't be positive when you see just 100's in the queue outside. There are actually 1000's in different queues inside: Ticket, elevator , movie , skydeck , exit elevator etc.
The tallest building in the U.S. at 110 stories, the former Sears Tower was the tallest building in the world until 2008. – Green Guide Editor
Formally known as the Sears Tower , it is really tall and breathtaking to say the least.
Locals still call it the Sears Tower .
In the evening there were few people. We weren’t long in the line . It was awesome
Get there early to avoid lines and crowds for the SkyDeck . But definitely worth it!
It was fantastic! Glad we bought tbe City Passes, it was the best wah to go. - Joseph Ruffino
Lots of great places to eat down here...much better than at ElkGrove - John Wildes
