RAPPU Handroll Bar

RAPPU sounds like “wrap ” when pronounced with a Japanese accent. We enjoyed the NYC vibe here, with chill rap music & neon lighting. Fairly young crowd, holding a casual yet boisterous setting

Dinner handrolls sold in set of 6 (right column, $42). Pick Tengo (light, clean ) or Jigo (strong, spicy ). U can swap out seafood or ask for vegan . Individual & premium rolls can be ordered ala carte

Dining time is limited to 75mins (lunch & dinner ). We managed to finish our 6 rolls + sake pairing comfortably within 60mins. Get a counter seat to watch the staff in action

These are what their handrolls look like. Best enjoyed immediately when served as the seaweed wrap is still crispy , rice warm. Bite on alternate ends so that filling doesn’t spill out ????

Sake pairing $23. Of the 6 sakes for dinner , I enjoyed Hourai (2nd from left) the most. It was heavier, more complex yet pleasantly fruity

If u r still hungry, or not into handrolls , the kitchen can prepare rice bowls or small plates izakaya items

Non-alcoholic dinner pairing ($16). They use kombucha . Clever!
