Affordable authentic Japanese bar food. We had delicious sashimi and kushiyaki accompanied by a couple of draft Sapporo and went home satisfied and not-broke.
We love the slow cooked iberico pork jowl which was so tender and flavorful. The squid coated in squid ink batter was crunchy and tasty, while the mentaiko rosti is interesting.
Ordered grilled scallops mentaiko (3 for $11), baked crab with mentaiko ($7), grilled Saba ($12), fried squid ink squid ($12), wagyu skewers ($9.5), beer ($5.5). And the bill was $117 for 2 pax ????????
Drank a lot of the recommended sake which went down a treat with everyone at the table. Friendly waiter who gave us helpful tips. Good place to have drinks!
Cosy. Great bar food. Not too pricy . Great place to chill and have sake .
Service is fast & good tastes good. Delicious grilled iberico pork jowl , tender and well marinated. Good grilled squid with sauce!
Rather quiet on weekends because nobody likes coming back to the CBD. But that makes for a warm cozy weekend hangout over bottles of wonderful sake

Have ‘the experience’ for 2 people. All the food was delicious and the house sake went down a treat.
Gyu Don set lunch $14. The beef is very good. Portions are generous, sides aplenty!
Nice food but A/C was way too cold indoors. Parmesan Cheese chips are ok (a bit too salty) - reco to try the yummy Camembert instead! Swekers and tempura are ok, nothing special. Beef soup was nice.

Under staffed on the floor but relatively inexpensive Izakaya fare. Pretty good food, decent sake selection . $18 sake flight is good way to start.

food execution isn't great. if they'd spent as much on the chefs as they did on the interior, I might have come back.
The grilled food is ok but waiting time is a chore on a Friday evening. Propose order more food initially
