Cozy and intimate . Have been here twice now and really like it. The food is delicious. Highly recommend the souffle starter. Book early and try and get a table upstairs if you can.
One vegan option in a carcass heavy menu but it was incredibly well cooked polenta and loads of roast veg . Cute atmos. Long, detailed wine list by region..
Been coming here for years and never disappointed with service or the food. Nothing fancy just good quality food and friendly service . That’s all you need from a genuine restarnat. Well done ????????????
This was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I've ever had. Friendly and knowledgeable staff , seasonal cooking and a fantastic menu. AND there was a puppy!
Superb food, enormous wine list and cozy candlelit tables. What's not to love? Just make sure you save room for dessert !
Tucked away in the heart of Soho, you have to book this place in advance, but they won't take bookings more than a week ahead. The great food is second only to a fantastic wine list and service.
Great food and service, romantic place . I recommend the venison pavé and the sticky toffee pudding . Book one week in advance.
Possibly my fav restaurant in London and a soho institution. Food to die for. Great staff and nice owner
Always dependable, a very nice menu executed well . From British standards to more innovative dishes, a casually elegant bet for a couple or small group.
Smoked mackerel and horseradish , skate (with fennel and kale ) and black venere rice with broccoli and sun dried tomatoes
Absolutely divine sticky toffee pudding . Great wine list . Love the ambience.
Perfectly lively but still conversational. Loved the handwritten menu. Enter through the middle door.
When I lived in London 16 years ago this was my favorite place and I hadn't been back since. It's just as good if not better than it always was.
French bistro in an 18th Century townhouse considers itself one of the last bastions of old Soho. It's a dog-friendly restaurant .
Nice and cozy restaurant ! I can recommend Hake and Fennel-Soup with Dill
Nice and coZy place. Perfect for quiet night out with wine and good food
Great menu, balanced dishes and a lovely place to spend a fun evening
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. Make sure you reserve well in advance!
Best sticky toffee pudding in London. Eat with a sherry . Amazing wine list .
Given the choice, try the ox heart, and then the stilton . A wonderful spot
Great food and service - get the Fox Gordon 'princess' fiano 2010 wine - was perfect with everything we had
Nicely cooked lamb . Tasty pork steak . Interesting environment. Feels a bit packed though.
Very good value for money . Nice French based food
Food wholesome but nothing special great wine list and good prices
Absolutely delicious. Great find. Will be back. Yum.
Really good food and service each time I've been
Venison steak with root veg mash was surprisingly good, given how steak is easily screwed up.
Don't forget to reserve a table- the place is always crowded .
Nice dishes but a bit too oily for me..
Never disappoint ????????????
Eat everything.
Mince Pie with Silton surprisingly good!
The owner is as gentle as an electronic gatekeeper. And the food is acceptable but forgettable. Ok for a quick lunch on a busy day in Soho, nothing more
They only take bookings 1 week ahead of time
Never, never any seats
The Chefs Tasting Menu is fabulous and really fun! If you have a chance to do it, DO - Susan J Campbell
Fantastic fun. Good breakfast. Lunchtime chambers or apple martini with good quality fare. - Bijan Young
The roast bone marrow and the duck hearts with radishes are both amazing. The roast grouse is pretty good too. - Leigh Hoang
Good place for people watching and a lot of landmarks to watch and enjoy . Very lively place day and night - Hamoud AlDabbous
Always brilliant and open late. Their seasonal flavours ensure ice cream is a must all year round. - Betony Kelly
