I was worried it would be a lot like the Kay West museum because I have already been there, but this one may even be better. Fantastic collection of authentic pirate artifacts .
If you can, do the guided tour with Captain Mayhem through the museum . He's done over 800 tours since the museum has been open and he knows his stuff!
Make sure if you take kids to pick up a treasure hunt sheet and let your kids fill it out along the way. They will be really engaged. Also the Black Beard's interactive room is really COOL!
Tours usually bore me but Capt Mayhem was FANTASTIC! I was genuinely engaged in every story he told & found myself going back through the museum a second time to take a closer look at the artifacts !
The most amazing museum we've ever been to. It was very educational and a thrill to experience and my wife enjoyed it.
Surprisingly interesting and high-quality museum . Owner is fanatic of the topic and has good money, which means the museum really shines. Abundant with original pieces.
Lots of fun with history to learn. Kids (7/8 and older)should enjoy this as well .
There's a really cool treasure hunt built into The Pirate Museum experience, with Discovery Drawers of precious artifacts hidden through the museum . See if you can find them all!
Excellent museum , they did a nice job- Very impressive and a must do in St Aug!
The museum is a bit juvenile, but its worth it at the end to see the actual 1 Eye Willie from The Goonies
It's worth it to take one of the tours ...lots of extra info that isn't in the displays
You will see the worlds largest collection of authentic pirate artifacts .
Super interesting....real pirate treasures. I will recommend this always

Try the Below Deck experience. It's designed by Disney and way cool!
Don't miss Below Deck!
Much better than it needed to be. More on par with Ripley's than Potter's.
Give yourself plenty of time in here, the collection is huge!
The pirate chest was the coolest!
Enjoyed this.
It has a treasure hunt for kids
Definitely worth it.
Good collection.
