Nice small visitor center with information on the islands if you can’t get out there by boat. Be sure to check out the upstairs observation deck and garden with cute sculptures .
Love the visitor center. The mammoth bones are a good replica.

Alexander's Lounge is a good place to join friends for a drink and enjoy sunset views of the Pacific from Ventura Harbor. Stop by Sunday for salsa night. Hotel's resort setting is busy but mellow. - Eric Tigre
Rooms are nice, some with nice views of the Harbor. The Four Points Hotel next door has a great Sunday Brunch worth trying and they love to pour lots of champagne. - BDW
