Great venue to watch a ballet . I've sat in almost every section & never a bad seat. I love all the the marble work & chrystal chandeliers . Gorgeous theatre . They also check ALL bags at the doors.
Amazing architecture , a sense of what it was long ago. NO leg room though so almost impossible to get comfortable after the first half hour of sitting. Try for aisle seats , little better.
If you get there late and you're, "on hold" ask about balcony seats for the current act instead of watching the screens. Still a great view and you can get your real seats after intermission .
Aisle seats on the outer aisles stagger outward giving an unobstructed view for children. You can also use booster seats that are provided for children to use.
Exquisite interior design and magnificent acoustics . Visit the building for it’s own sake even if you don’t like the kind of music they usually play there.
Just been to production of Love Never Dies. Just beautiful. Great acoustics ....not a bad seat in the house.
Restrooms downstairs; expect a long line for both men and women during intermission
Be respectful and courteous and don't take any pictures or use your cell phone during a performance . There's a reason the ushers get angry when you snap pics: It's rude and annoying.
Beautiful building interior and a great place to see the performing arts .
Beautiful venue! I come every year to see the nutcracker .
Beautiful place to enjoy live theater !
See anything and you're in for a treat! God forbid if you try and take a picture: those angry little gnomes they call ushers will come yelling! Great place, though.
Get half-priced tickets for lots of shows at Bostix.org or go to their kiosks at Faneuil Hall or Copley Square early for day of show tickets.
The Nutcracker is the prettiest I've seen in the country . So far. Well done. Be sure to look at all the lovely renovations.
I was there for the Nutcracker , great show and charming atmosphere.
Theater is very wide, so seats on extreme sides may be obstructed/limited view . But on the plus side, are likely discounted !
Watch out for the hawk eyed ushers - they'll punish cell phone use!! Worth getting seats forward of row Q for best views .
You are in Boston, you like musicals , you are a student, you have to visit this place.
Tthe theater was cramped. Our knees pushed into the seats in front of us causing us to be extremely uncomfortable. The theater seems to be a bit of a fire hazard with only one way out from upstairs.
Boston Ballet is in the house this Holidays with The Nutcracker ! See this New England favorite and do some Holiday shopping while you're at it at the beautiful holiday shop!
You are always in for an astounding evening with the Boston Ballet - be sure to make at least one of their productions!
Great theater ! Beautiful house and great crew.
Two Degrees bars are sold here! Buy a delicious food bar and give a medically formulated food pack to a hungry child. Is Good. Does Good.
Docent said only time to get Mezz Box tix is for a concert , otherwise you cant see the whole stage.
Best vocals of any wicked performance I have seen yet. AmaZing.
Catch the Boston Ballet for cheap by getting to the Opera House an hour before doors open. Tickets can go for up to 50% off. Students can get into most performances for $25.
If you can get it, the best seats in the house are always in the "Dress Circle."

young or young at heart? get your Nutcracker paper crowns during intermission in the lobby! can't stop wearing them.
Gorgeous design and acoustics .
Wicked was Awesome! Definitely reading the book now!
You can get hot cocoa and coffee in the lower level lounge .
The nutcracker was tons of fun this year. Great for kids and their parents.

Gorgeous place. I mean, I'm a little biased, but the decor is truly lovely.
Boston Ballet 's Nutcracker is always great! The Opera House is beautiful!

Fantastic!!! Hilarious
Beautiful scenery great seats
Opened Oct 29, 1928 and it still looks amazing, with amazing performances coming this year!!!!
I'll be the crass one: use the facilities before the show because the lines at intermission and post show are insane.
Saw the first showing of Les Miserables tonight! Amazing! The theatre is stunning!
Such a beautiful and classy place .
Taking Dylan to see The Lion King for his first show!!
Kudos Emerson College!!! Beautiful Old Theater! All of the staff were simply amazing! Kind, happy, polite, helpful, but most of all, they were happy people!! - Al Amore
No need to buy a $4 bottle of water. There are plenty of water fountains with deliciously cold water and they let you bring in outside bottles so you could bring in a reusable water bottle. - John Brody
Beautiful venue. Had seats in center balcony for Lenny kravitz and they were surprisingly good. - Stephanie F
Really nice park to visit although quite small in size. It's haunted as well so you might see some friendly spirits! - Hayley Cooper
Shredded Brussels sprout, baby kale salad salmon. Ask for the fresh grapefruit juice basil Hendricks gin martini dry, and it's warm weather cocktail perfection. - xina
I love this place. Quasi-gourmet food for pretty reasonable prices. The beef kabob is to die for. Drinks are strong! - Kirstin M.
