Visit the Common (not Commons, that’s what tourists call it) on Memorial Day and see all the flags. It’s truly beautiful. And appropriately memorable.

Some of the cheapest parking in the city , especially for extended stays. Leave your beer and cigarettes at home, police are pretty particular about the rules at this beautiful urban park .

Geoffrey Grove

Summer: Frog pond us fun for kids . Boston Garden is right next to the Common, so don't forget to visit both. In winter: Frog pound turns to ice skating .

The city needs to clean the Commons up. I brought my little ones to the frog pond Saturday. There was trash everywhere, homeless people laying all about, and the whole place stunk of garbage & pot

Ladies: If you're on a bench by yourself, you will be hit on aggressively and repeatedly! Amusing, but if you don't think so, stay in motion or bring a buddy.

I like the idea behind it, but I think visiting in the summer is much better, so they can fill the yard with water for the ducks

Emma

A beautiful place to study, walk, or run. Be sure to look up Jesse Pomeroy and his creepy "hauntings" of this place once you get the chance.
