On July 4th, the fireworks are visible from anywhere on the river , but be aware that Storrow Drive is closed to cars, so you can find a spot in the middle of the street.

Djaniella D.

A beautiful place to get away from all the chaos in the city . Take full advantage of it- whether it's running, biking , having a picnic , overlooking the bridge , or watching the sunset on the dock .

Nicole Merritt

Start taking advantage of this awesome running spot - the views are incredible - and you'll be in good company! In the warm weather, bring a towel and lay out on the docks .

It gets crowded during the summer when it's nice out, but there's an adorable little dock a little ways right of the bridge that comes across from Silber Way, great to sit and dip your feet in or tan !

Nicholas

Take a walk along the Esplanade to see the Charles River . Start at either the west end at the Mass Ave bridge or the east end near the Public Gardens .

On July 4th, if you want to get a spot up front, you need to show up with a blanket, chairs, and food for the day at 9am when they open it up to the public. Overall, watching from Cambridge is easier. Read more
