When possible, visit it on a weekday morning in the fall. Plentiful parking , less crowds, but still great. Plus, Sullivan's has super cheap breakfasts .

On nice days or weekends, the parking lot is jammed . If you can park outside the lot and walk the beach or boardwalk in. Sullivan's is worth the line .

Must stop area when in South Boston, especially in the summer. Checking out the fort, the beach and the park is very relaxing and cool

Free tours of the fort that last about 45 min was cool but it's the only way they'll let you walk around the inside.

Great place for a walk. And historic, including being a place where E.A. Poe, the Boston-born author and critic, was stationed during a stint in the army.

I love this place! you can just go and walk and spend the day there during the summer.

Park down near the beach , not on the numbered streets. The residents have enough trouble finding a parking space near their homes.

Really rocky beaches and murky water. But Sullivan's nearby has bomb lobster rolls

Don't park right next to the island . Instead, park on a numbered street in Southie and walk. Fewer headaches and more exercise.
