Impressive place and can't wait to return. Huggo 's and On The Rocks sit next to each other and give guests a lovely beach view for dining while being served by a friendly staff . Try OTR Happy Hour !

Excellent service , food is awesome, great atmosphere - we assumed it would be a ra-ra college drinking bar but it is upscale and the food is perfect. Watched the sunset with half off pupu's at 5:30.

First come first serve seating! The reservations are for Hugo formal dinning next door! Get there early, put your toes in the sand and enjoy the sunset !

The place for sunset . Put your name in for waterside early and take a walk, it’s worth it. Casual and fun, the furikake catch is good along with cocktails and the Mauna Kea ice cream pie is obscene.

Big Bam Mai Tai and then enjoy the live music and, of course, the ocean view . Food is tasty and reasonably priced. Yummy burgers .

The baby greens salad was amazing! Mango , hearts of palm, onion and avocado with creamy lime vinaigrette . Delicious! Island Johnny was our server. Nice man! :-)

The sliders during happy hour have an amazing flavor profile! Get them with an IPA . (Pic is from the corner beach table)

We sat at the bar because of the 1.5 hour wait. That & the incredibly slow service is our only complaint. Otherwise, the wait staff was friendly , food tasty, atmosphere festive , & the view supurb.

Amazing guava pulled pork !!! But the seating was terrible to wait for, Lots of people enjoying the music and sitting around drinking makes for a long wait .

Best place to see sunset . Queso with some stale nacho chips tho and 2 drinks. 2 guys playing live made things fun.

Menu is diverse, even for the picky eater. Sit at a table with your feet in the sand and enjoy dinner , a live band , and ocean views .

Make sure you're proper hungry before ordering any of the omelettes . I prefer the FBI. Kona espresso blend is very, very good.

Toes in the sand, lively music on weekend eves. Service can be rather slow and impersonal. Drinks and food better elsewhere, but you can't beat the location!

Decent food but you pay a premium price for the Oceanside view . Come stake out a table along the oceanfront area as it gets busy here fast. Live music after 8pm daily. Drink prices go up after 8.

Best sunset on the big island . Come early, get a seat on the sand and just kick back.

Huggos "on the rocks" is a little bar literally on the beach NEXTDOOR to Huggos.. It's a mini cafe beach version of the main restaurant . And they claim no cell phones allowed, but in using one now =)

If you would like to watch a sunset , then this definitely the spot, but if you would like to have a decent meal then look somewhere else.
